A new shiny doghouse for the strays

In my country there is still an issue about the stray cats and dogs. Each city has it's own measures. Where I live the sick, aggressive ones are humanely put to sleep. The healthy ones and non aggressive are neutered and then released because the local shelter has a small capacity. This is why almost each building has a couple of stray dogs who are guarding the parking lots and the building. Now it is winter in here and it very cold and snow all over the place. I have 3 dogs in front of my block and last winter I improvised some doghouses from boxes. This winter I managed to find a neighbor who knew how ho build a wood doghouse and now my parking dogs are very happy. Today I went to feed them and they didn't even wanted to go outside of the doghouse.

That is so sad, that there are that many stray animals around. It being normal to just let them roam. But it's good they are trying to get it worked on. It's cute how they didn't want to leave their doghouse.

Yes, they love the doghouse so much. Now that we celebrate winter holidays people are having more food to give them and the doggies are happy.

Our city is not so keen on ensuring that the city is free from stray dogs and cats. They are everywhere and I really feel sad looking at their state. Some of them are very thin and have very poor health. It is sad to see these animals roaming around and fending for themselves but the government does not have the same feeling.

Unfortunately people are not educated enough to understand that once they take a cat or dog they have to keep it and take care of it. The authorities don't care or they are overwhelmed.People are getting more egoistic day by day.
