She brought me the candy canes. These are not mint candy canes. These are Jolly Rancher candy canes. I just ate one. I tried not to bite it, but I couldn't help it. These are so good. I only have one or two a week. I'd rob them off the tree. Now the tree is gone and I have all of these candy canes.
Do you eat the candy canes off your tree? Some folks probably don't even put canes on their tree. I've enjoyed our tree since we out it up after Thanksgiving.
Your thoughts?

I've put candy canes on the tree for years, since the kids were little, but I seldom eat one. My granddaughter did this year, though! As soon as she found out what they were (she's a year and a half old), she went straight to them every time they were here.
I prefer the peppermint kind and I think she does, too.

Yep, those mint ones are really cool to the mouth and tasty too. The Jolly Rancher ones taste like the candies. If you like JR you would live these.

Candy canes don't interest me. Now, if they were chocolate candy canes - then they would be irresistible to me. Now, I only have a small tree so the big candy canes won't fit on my tree. When my kids were still not grown and living at home, I would hang the candy canes on the tree. They would always miss finding one or two and so, when we took down the tree, it was always an extra treat to find the ones they missed.
My kids preferred the strawberry or watermelon flavored candy canes.

I have always lived candy canes. I live the mint ones, but these Jolly Rancher ones are awesome! Our tree is 7 feet talk. I had a tiny tree when I lived on my own. It had batteries and light up really pretty fiber optics.

I love candy canes, but they've got to be the traditional mint ones. Those are my favourite.

My thoughts are the tree shouldn't go up until the last Sunday of Advent, and stay up until after Twelfth Night, but I'm a traditionalist.

My daughter wanted a box of blueberry candy canes, so we got that. I was afraid to put any of them on the tree because she loves them so much. I just knew she'd pull them off the tree and beg us to unwrap them for her when she got frustrated with trying to open them herself.
I don't like candy canes as much as she does. My guilty pleasure is the Ghirardelli peppermint bark chocolate squares. I've eaten more bags of them this season than I'd like to admit to. My hubby's hooked on the Terry's chocolate oranges. I hope I can find a few on clearance at one of the stores here so I can stash them and surprise him later.

Isn't it too early to put down the tree? Well, we still have ours.
I don't really like candy canes and I'd be killing myself if I'd have one. We don't put candy canes in our trees because ants would be after it.
Take it easy on those candy canes though. Have a great Holidays!

Remember the importance of moderation. Those candy canes will keep for a bit.
We don't celebrate Christmas. Back when I did celebrate Christmas before changing religions, we never did candy canes. As a child, I wanted to, but that wasn't the sort of thing that my parents would have ever done. As an adult, my housemates and I had cats (as well as other animals), so something like that probably wouldn't have worked too well since some like to chew on plastic.

I love candy canes myself. When I was a little kid, my family would put candy canes on our Christmas Tree, along with other ornaments. Some of the ornaments were what my brothers and I made in school for art class. I also made a gingerbread house for my assignment in my home economics class back in high school during my junior year. That was many years ago.

This used to be one of my favorite Christmas traditions when I was a child...
We always had peppermint candy canes or the rainbow colored ones.. They had a different flavor. I've never had Jolly Rancher canes though!

I keep my tree and decorations up until January 6th. This year with Randy being diabetic I did not buy any candy canes. I love Christmas and the holiday season. I missed having candy canes, but I know that Randy's health must come first. When I was little I used to eat the peppermint candy canes.

We put out tree up thanksgiving day and we took it down the day after christmas. We put candy canes on our trees if they last that long with the kids around lol yes we still eat them. I mean if there in the wrapper and havent been open they should be ok if you think about it how long do they stay in the store so basically the same idea. The jolly rancher one good they are my favorite too.
