exhausted from trying all sorts of things to earn online. I am setting one goal for 2013 which will make everything else easy going foward. My goal for 2013 is CONSOLIDATION!!! Learn from your mistakes, don't set unrealistic goals only to set the same ones next year. Good luck everyone in 2013 with earning online.

I have a big big big test in 2014. So I have to study next year. So my online earning goal is to use something like cashbars, auto views, auto YouTube, etc. And I can have my computer running all that kinds of software so that I play games and I can study harder..XD.

Welcome to online earning! Thats great you are learning quickly. Online earning is way easier than a real job but it does not pay well. You take the good with the bad. Good luck next year and hope to see you around.

hi there sergeantrom. those are nice words to live by sarge. learn from your mistakes and set realistic goals are simple ones but often overlooked. for me, i would strive to step out of my comfort zone and learn new things and means to earn online. if your goal for 2013 is consolidation sergeantrom, mine would be DIVERSIFICATION. i'll try out different things and seek what fits me best. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

You are so correct on the overlooked. Diversification is also a great goal. Been there and done that. Trying new things is wonderful but can also be exhausting, like blowing in the wind. We won't know what we like if we don't try new things right? I figured out my favorites and that is why I am consolidating now. Happy new year and good luck.

Did you learn what you are actually doing---not 'making money' (by doing anything of REAL VALUE), but just 'cyber-begging' (i.e. extending your hand for passers-by to give you a few spare coppers) Or are you led to believe what you're doing online has any real value?

I will do my best to reply. Cyber-begging: never done this sort of thing and never will. Even when it comes to getting referrals, I dont beg or push anything on anyone. Real value: that is in the eye of the beholder. To me, my time is valuable and the little time it requires for me to earn online is less than a real offline job and way less stress. I have more free time to spend on things that matter. What I am doing online has value to me. I made a lot of contacts with mutual respect and trust and we share things that are important to us. I am learning a great deal about business, marketing, planning, writing, legal issues, finance, researching and lots more. Looking at the number of posts, I see you spend a great deal of time online. Can I assume Mylot has "real value" to you? Good luck in 2013.

I understand what you are talking about now. However, there are many mylotters, including me, who would disagree with you. If Mylot did not care about our "efforts" then there would be no need for a rating system. I dont believe a 2-word reply would qualify for "full participation". Then again, sometimes you can say more with less. We may not "earn" much but we do earn something. There are many mylotters who will testify to monthly payouts. For some, typing, thinking of quality replies and discussions are considered effort. Not everyone is good at this kind of thing. I guess its another standoff since there are many ways of looking at this interesting issue you brought up.

Yes, it DOES have "real value" to me---there's 'the peace that comes with knowing that my opinions are helping to build this Paradise' & then there's also 'just somethin` to do!' But we "earn" neither of those things, nor ANYTHING AT ALL. "Earning" means you give up 'what you produce' (your 'effort') in exchange for 'what others produce' (usually represented by 'money they made "effort" for'). myLot doesn't CARE how much "effort" you put into thinking about the discussion ... i.e. you won't get paid more for 'a relevant 2-page post' than you will for 'a relevant 2-word post!' They only care that you participate fully. And yes, money arises from your high-quality participation in discussions; but the only one who "earns" that money is myLot-administration, and they 'promise' it to you.

For just one year earning online, you are getting off to a great start, especially finding Mylot!!! This is a good place to find other opportunities and socialize. Trying new things is definitely a learning tool because there is much to learn online. Good luck and happy new year.

That's a rearly good strategy I like to earn money online and what I have been doing is trying different sites for a year and seeing which are the best ones and concentrate my efforts on them that way I can maximize my earnings. Also your right about seeting unrealistic goals because some people generally believe that they are going to make thousands of dollars earning money online and the truth is there are not going to. If you set yourself a more realistic target then you stand less chance of failing.

You are totally correct. You can also try setting small goals first and then after meeting each goal, set another. This is a great confidence booster and a good way to start positive habits that will help us all get organized and stay focused. Kinda like baby steps. Have to learn to crawl before you can walk.

Every little bit is going to help me these days, as I've suddenly been left without some money on which I've depended to pay the bills. I have been doing things such as putting links to several of these sites (both the ones that pay and the ones where I often visit) on one page of one of my blogs. If there's a referral option going on, I also make my links include this so that other people who read a page like this will be referred by me should they decide to join, buy something, etc.

Every little bit certainly does help out and I know this well. If you are looking for sites to help pay bills, you want more "task" like websites that pay more. If you have the skillset, you can even find real jobs with benefits online. No matter what direction you choose, it requires patience and tons of research, so you dont get scammed. There are many who are earning a living online but just remember, it did not happen over night. Good luck with your goals.

I am hoping to continue to earn, but I do hope that I end up making more than I did in 2012, as I am donly doing a few sites, and the pay is low, so it does take time to make anything at all. It does al add up in the end though, and that is the main thing. It is hard to make a lot of money though since there arew just way to many scams out there, and one never knows what sites will last and which ones won't. I don't like to have to pay for anything if I can get it free, and yet that beign said, I am doing free sites, and have a few referrals, albeit not all that many. I am going to try to find ways of making more money though in 2013, as I need it desperately. I think we could all use more money, what with the eco0nomy being so bad. I do wish you success in your endeavors and take care.

What a positive way of thinking and much needed when it comes to online earning. This kind of goal requires patience since the money is slow and not much. When I first started, others laughed at me because it was just pennies but then the pennnies started turning into dollars and coming more frequently. I dont regret anything over the years; I count it all as experience and putting in the work for future endeavors. I think instead of wanting more money, people should learn to do more with less next year. Thats another thing I learned this year. There is so much waste including my household. I dont even spend my online earnings any more, just save it. The economy has forced me to think this way. Saving for a rainy day. Good luck to you as well and I hope you find what you need.

You are correct. If only others would realize that earning online requires the same dedication as a real job offline. Everyone is after the easy quick bucks. Not saying this cant happen but its a long shot. Good luck and happy new year to you too!

It may take some time in the beginning to really look at what you are doing online and start organizing the sites that are worth keeping. But in the long run, it will save you more time and earn you more. Good luck and happy new year.

I did find some programs that are earning me money. It has been a slow start in 2012, but I am farther ahead than I have been in previous years. I have learned never to give up, and continue to learn and figure out what are honest and paying programs.

I like the turtle and the hare story. To me, taking the turtle route is the best way. You have a positive attitude and that will make you successful at whatever you do. Keep up the great work and good luck in 2013.
