My daughter was sick these past few days. She had coughs, colds and fever. She doesn't like taking her medicines, so hubby and I has to join forced just to make her drink it. I was stressed out and so I put it on my facebook status about how stressful it is to have a sick child.
I receive a lot of encouragement from friends though, but there was this woman who commented telling me to come down co's there are other parents whose kids is more serious that mine.
I got offended by what she just said and I was ready to snap. I don't know what she's thinking... how could you tell a mom to come down co'z others people kids are dying and is not(?). Huh!

When our kid is sick, we take him to the hospital to see a doctor and everything is done accordingly in spite that our son might not like it. But we have to and we trust the doctors and follow them. This way, the child gets cured sooner. Take care, leeandrew.

Thanks William. Actually I'm careful of bringing my kid to the hospital because I don't like giving her antibiotics. I just brought her when she's really very sick. I'm afraid the taking a lot of antibiotics might affect her internals. So when she has fever I try to give her an over the counter meds and if the sickness persist that's the time I take her to the hospital.

It is never easy for us as a mother to have a child that is sick. I mean I realize that every time that my children have been sick that there are a lot of parents that are dealing with sicknesses in their children that are much worse than those illnesses that my children are going through. However, I really don't think that any of my friends would ever tell me to calm down because there are other people out there whose children have illnesses that are much worse than what my own children have had to deal with.

True. It is never been an easy job to be a mom, and you can't even ask to a time out specially when they are still very young and totally depends on you. I hate it when my baby girl is sick co's I can do is guess on what she's feeling co's she could not tell about it. Then the hard part is children hates taking medicines.
Thank you Dorann... that is exactly what I'm feeling too. How could anyone tell a mom to calm down just like that because some people's they knew's child is worse that mine. A mom would greatly offended, and I was offended by that. hahaha. I can laugh now though co's thinking way back... I'm feel like I'm a stressed snappy mom.
I'm thankful though everything is fine now... just a little cough and cold every now and because of the cold weather.

You know what?... what I really meant here is calm down not come down. Goodness what happen to me. I just saw it just right now when I was about to comment back on you.
So true, having a sick child is the most stressful of all thing, specially when its still a baby and could not express how she feels. All they do is cry and they would not take any medicines. Then someone would tell you to shut co's others are in far worse situation. Duh!
Thanks!
