Eating Ham

Haven't eaten like this in a while, probably once a year. Nice to know we didn't have to buy one because some one would give us a ham to each, like the one we had this break fast. then yesterday i went to my brother's house and gave me cool ham and leche flan hehe. this new year were going for that ham again, i don't have to follow the tradition of 12 fruits or fire works. fire works aren't for my mom who has asthma.

It's funny how our families force feed us ham during the holidays, there's just so much ham around. I'm with you on it though, I like ham. :) have a good 2013

Hello Nursefrai06, I love ham i don't eat it often because it's pure meat and could give me some sickness or illness like blood pressure or something. right now, i think i need to loose weight this year because of so many meat that i have eaten last year.ham is good all the time, but it's more demanding and meaningful to eat during holidays

I only eat ham during the holidays cause we receive so much of it at year end. It's January but we still have frozen ham in our refrigerator. Yep, it's that much ham. I'm kind of sick of it now, haha. But yep, gotta stop it, keep healthy and get ready for a 2-piece ready body cause summer is coming in a few months again. Take care, :D

Hello JolieFille, that's good it's nice midnight meal to eat we haven't had that kind of ham for a while except that last month of december, was a real good food to eat. but not that much because contains fats and cholesterol. but you can't eat that more often because it's gonna cause health problems.

hi, to be honest we don't buy ham and we could only taste and eat ham during Christmas season because the company where i work usually give one ham as their gift for Christmas, another reason ham is a little beat expensive so we don't really buy it.

I don't eat ham always. I only eat it when my mother would buy it from the grocery but we don't buy it always. It's good that you have eaten a ham again. Now I am craving for it.

Us too Letran, we only eat ham, once a year and that is Christmas. It abounds on Christmas because each of us here at the house are given hams as gift. Though we also get to eat ham, when it's not Christmas yet, when we get the imported DAK ham received from abroad through a Balikbayan box.

There goes my dilemma, how to consuem3 hams and an assortment of meat products. I already feel too much meat in my system because my parents treated us to restaurants. Being spoiled children this year,we order almost meat products especially my sibling who loves steaks. Anyway,I am willing to bet that my aunt will sue the ham as vayant for her kids. I doubt that she ate ham since she is a person who leans more into vegetables and she had diabetes. Oh well, it'll be less ham and more food storage in the coming months.

It's nice to enjoy food that is fit for the season once in a while even if we know it's not that healthy. Well the hams we have now are the boxed once and had become affordable to almost every body, when I was a kid, the ham was a real huge preserved whole leg of pork, so salty and full of preservatives, that it would not rot even without refrigeration LOL! and i remember that we always hang it on the kitchen door ( it comes with a net in the packaging). It was expensive that time and when somebody gifts you with one, it's like you are really important ( i think that's where we got the tradition of giving convenient ham ), not everybody could afford one in their table so guests would like very much to partake. It was so salty that you just have to eat a little otherwise as kids you get a sore throat, I remember mom boiling it in pineapple juice to remove the preservatives before giving it to us kids. It lasts a long time that sometimes it's already February and we still have what's left of the carcass or turn it to ham spread

Hi Letran! I believe we won't be having ham for New Year's Eve. My mom just had groceries and she bought those 12 fruits and tikoy. We also aren't interested in fireworks. We will just watch others fireworks outside our house. Since we live on top of a hill...I got to see a nice view from below. Yeah, we did have ham for Christmas Eve. So I don't want to eat again this time. Happy holidays!!!
