Hai zabuqamar, I can understand your feelings as I am also a basketball player. Even I can't think of leaving basketball for gaining weight. My suggestion is that take foods like egg, milk etc after your play time(only after 2 hours later) and do proper exercises before and after the play. In my opinion how long you play you should take that much nutritious food to gain the energy

If you put on weight, you will not be able to slum dunk the next time you play in the court, it is still better to remain underweight, so that you can continue to awe your audience, teammates and coach, you can also run faster while dribble across the court and leave everyone behind, putting on weight may make you lose all these advantages over a heavy player. Don't worry about your weight, as long as you are fit to play basketball and can build up a long lasting stamina, you will be fine.

don't worry a lot about since as long as you are healthy. I eat a lot but my weight is kept for almost 10 years, 46 kg. (i tall 164 cm)...and i have no problem with my health at all. Sometime i feel happy with it since i can eat whatever i want and don't need to worry about my weight.

Hi a lot of people are having problems to lose their weight. So I think you should appreciate your body weight as you can eat whatever you want without being too conscious with your weight just like some people today consider as one of their problems. My advice for you is to eat foods with high calories and make sure your calories intake is more than what you can consume in your activities. The reason why is, unconsumed energy can be converted into fats which your body needs. Hope this helps.

Gaining weight requires a good strategic planning, it doesn’t mean that you just put up a sandwhich and eat and go, that wouldn’t help you in your aim of weight gaining. Before, starting your goal in gaining some pounds, you should able to evaluate the number of calories you need to bulk up in your diet and calculate how many and how more you’ll need to gain more weight. Don’t rush on things! : It’s a no no to rush on eating more food, it will somehow make you vomit because your body is not adjusting to the new food intake you are activating, try eating more in a slow and adjusting process like one or two pounds per week, it will help your metabolism to adjust in the new diet cycle you are performing. It is important to need skip a meal! : Eat four meals a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper) as well as snacks in some break times of your workloads. This will help your body eating schedule get more calories every day. Avoid eating junk-foods/transfat! : Trans Fat or Saturated fats which are found in junk foods and preserve foods induce your body with unhealthy insulin. Although it will gain you weight, the focus will only be in your belly fat rather than your muscle and arm areas. Eat Protein! : Protein intake in your gaining diet will help you build body mass. Lastly, Weight training is important in the role of weight gaining, not only that it will correct your physique and put on a strong bulk in your arms and other areas, it will also stimulate your appetite and help you in your breathing and cardio routines.

This isn't really advice, but I am the same way. I eat all the time and really, as bad as this is, I eat too much junk food. I never gain weight and I'm 5'3 and 103lbs (160cm, 48kg) lol. People are always telling me to eat a sandwich or burger, but I do eat! Just like you! haha. I think some people here gave some great advice and I may be taking some of it to maintain a healthy weight. I need to find a good diet to stick to so I can maybe gain 5 to 10 more pounds and stay at that weight. This may not not be too helpful since you are already active by playing basketball, but maybe try doing some exercises to build up muscle as you change your diet. :)

well, it depends on what you eat. i suggest you eat a lot of carbohydrates (e.g. rice, pasta, potatoes, etc..) you can supplement your diet with milk, egg, and other rich in calcium. basketball is good for your body. you have to keep it to keep you fit and passionate about sports.

I think the reason is not all your basketball things,as we all know basketball will makes people more fit but not skinny,so in my mind I think that the reason may be is you have some intestines and stomach issue and you can have a check in hospital.
