He is still a young bowler and has a lot to learn about bowling. But he is a very good fine. I think he will dominate the bowling around the world in years to come. He obviously exposed weakness to the Indian batsmen. It looks like India in on the down turn now. What you think.

I agree. He is young and has miles to go before he sleeps. He is express and he is good. What he needs to do is be good in line and length. If he is able to do that, his pace will be of immense help to him. He has been consistently fast and that is good for him and the team. I think India has never faced such a tall bowler and that is why they were exposed a bit. The bounce was difficult to play. Indian batsmen have always struggled with the short ball. And so, I don't think he has especially exposed them. They were already exposed long ago playing the short ball. He needs to do something better and different to prove himself.

Yea he is definitely a very tall bowler and he is getting a lot of bounce and that is what the Indian batsmen can not handle. They will always be exposed to good quality fast bowling. But I still feel they are on the downward decline because they could not handle the English spinners also. They will have to rebuild like all other teams and come again.

I agree. Irfan is a very effective bowler and a good find for the Pakistan team. So is Junaid. Both of them have clinically exposed the weaknesses of the Indian top order batsmen.

I don't think Irfan has "clinically exposed the weaknesses of the Indian batting". It is a very strong statement and at least as of now, does not fit him. He is still a kid, even saying him an infant will not be wrong. He has to play 80-100 matches, let us see how he performs around the world. Then we can say that he has really exposed the batting. Making a mark in international cricket takes time. See, Pujara scored a double ton against England in Ahmadabad and we immediately started calling him the replacement for Dravid. But in the later matches... it is better not to talk. We cannot judge either Pujara or Mohd. Irfan on a couple of games against only one opposition. It will take some time before they deserve the tag. And yes, they have to earn that tag, no one will give it to them.

Mohd. Irfan will be a nine days wonder - just like Shoaib Akhtar and Mohd. Aamir. Just mark my words. There are very few fast bowlers who have made a mark in world cricket. The two of them are the Pakistani legends Wasim Akram and Wakar Younus. I don't think Irfan will be there for a very long time. The 7 feet giant will certainly make a mark early on. He will be very effective playing on fast pitches in Australia. If Pakistan were to travel to Australia with Irfan, the Aussies will have to be very cautious about him. You might have seen the fast bowling against India. The wicket keeper was taking the ball in front of his face. When this is the condition in India, just imagine what he will do in Australia. But I repeat, it will be very difficult for him to be in the same zone as he is now. Let them admit it that the wave of Mohd. Irfan is currently blowing him to perform better. If he is able to sustain the initial pressure and perform, he can have any hope staying in the international circuit. Just have a look at what happened to express bowlers. Shoaib lost his pace later in his career and even shortened his run up. Even Shaun Tait of Australia could not be there at the international level as compared to his express pace. I guess, only Brett Lee had a good career. He remained fast and furious all through. I don't think, Irfan will be able to match him.

Hi Shoaib, Pakistan has been known to produce fast bowlers since long time now. Starting with Slafraz Nawaz then Imran Khan then Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram and so on. There are countless fast bowlers from pakistan and they have all been quality bowlers. About md. Irfan looks a good bowler with good height. It is his first tour so how good he is would be known in couple of years when everyone would analise his videos.
