Sometimes we give out to much information here....

I don't think I give too much information. Perhaps it looks like that to others? What I am not willing to tell I won't. It's also not that I (would) do so because I feel so comfortable over here. I say what is on my mind or respond with my experiences. I think if you join a discussion you should do that by your own experiences, ideas, thoughts, not with stories you have heard somewhere or by copying someone's opinon from the internet.

It is great to feel comfortable enough with a group of people to want to share what is going on in our daily lives. I enjoy coming here and chatting like we were all old friends who knew each other from school. Thanks Maria

I'm very careful with the information I share online. I am more than willing to share the basics here but really don't get into personal issues. I have nothing to hide but am skeptical when it comes to being open on the internet or even in myLot. I do email two members regularly as they have become friends and we share personal information. It's been fun keeping in touch. Happy New Year to you too.

Yes its so nice to feel comfortable and to share those things with other people here in myLot. I've met some great friends. I do share some things when I feel comfortable too.

Sometime i start a discussion about what happen in mylife. I not worry about that because that is not my secret. Sometime i start a discussion to hear opinion from other member and help me out.

i'm a very shy person and i'm not the type of person who would tell anything that would compromise me and my family's safety. sometimes being quiet leads you to less trouble.

You are probably right, but I would tend to think that the degree of anonymity that the site gives us makes it easier for many members to speak more openly than they would face to face with someone.

Hi! Many mylotters share there each and every problem with fellow mylotters and they get lots of information and suggestions in solving there problems. On a site like mylot one could protect his identity and could remain annonymous and easily divulge information about some personal issue. I have seen some lotters using the platform of mylot discussions as their daily diary and they keep posting discussions on their day to day issues.

Some people just love to have all the attention, they like to announce to the rest of the world of their love affair, family matters, and personal business all over in Mylot, there is no such thing as 'too much' as far as they are concerned, Mylot website is like a place where they find it comforting and safe enough to spell them all out and let the world know.

Yes, there is a lot of honesty and heart-pouring in here. I also do this but minimally I guess. I am not so keen in really pouring my heart out in here. But it's nice to know that there are many people who still trust the goodness of others. I salute them. I am not saying I lack trust, it's just that I am not so totally sure if this is the right avenue for certain concerns.

Hi Maria, Yeah, with my stay here since 2009...I've shared a lot already..not just my views about things but also things and issues about my life. I also even asked for an advise to mylotters in here...and it did help me a lot. I believe that the mylot community is also my family. And it's great to share to people with different views and culture because it can broaden your perspectives. Anyhow, I am glad...and really, really glad that I found this site. I may not as active as before but I am trying my best to keep this account active by going over here as long as I can. Life's been tough for me because I am busy but I just couldn't afford to say goodbye in here. I love this community. Happy New Year as well.

Well not all do give out more extensive information about their private lives because some posts might get deleted due to violation of terms on the site but for other myLotters, yeah they do give out such information. In my opinion about the subject matter, they do give such information because they want others to read their problems and they want some advice's from people all across different walks in life. in a way, they can compare and contrast their problems from other myLotter's personal note on the subject matter.

Yeah, i do share a lot of stuff on mylot without having to be afraid of anybody. This is a great place to let out all our feelings which otherwise might have been burried inside..

Happy new year. Although I share some experiences I had, I still refrain from telling my other personal life. Sometimes I open up when I repond rot a discussion in relation to it. But most of the time I don't reveal so much of my personal life as a discussion. If the discusser needs some enlightenment and I had go through with same story I mention it as part of my response, in this way I am amble to enlighten some people too based on true to life experience. But then I am thankful for those discussers who had been so trusting to other mylot users like me.

hi maria, we tend to get comfortable with people who dont know about us and can give unbiased neutral solutions. i have felt it myself. freinds and family have some mindset about you and they tend to respect that and give customized soultions which we might not be interested or are aware about. i feel that mylot is such a platform wherein you get to talk with different people and get different answers. its just being global , you see.....thanks mylot

Hi friend, you are right, we are sharing various kind of information here, some of us sharing our day to day activities and problems here to get solution, mylot is the place where we find different kind of persons and we will get various ideas to solve our issues with this site. Surely we will get various replies, views and ideas for a single topic in this site

This is a very good point and discussion Maria. I think I can agree with you to a point about Mylot being a comfortable medium to chat and share. I do hold back from revealing too much about myslef and family online. I think that the fact that we are talking online to people that we don't really know or people we have never met, can lead us to becoming complacent about our privacy. However I could be wrong, it has happened before We have all met people in the past who will then over the course of a conversation share their most intimate and private details about theirs and their families lifes... .... You tend to find yourself thinking after the conversation thinking "How was that?"

Yes, I agree that there are people who really open their hearts because they trust the fellow myLotter. We should always try to be there for each other and encourage where we can.

Yes sometimes we share our private information online.Mylot is indeed a platform where we can share our problems without thinking twice and we can share it easily.But sometimes there are some problems that we want to keep them private and i too believe on that.

I agree. There are a lot of us who share way too much detail. We have to be careful. Sharing is good, but security and safety is more crucial!
