Especially very soon after you see it, your reputation may take a while to settle down. This may be partly due to the recalculation process which MyLot runs from time to time and especially at the end of a month. Since it is decided solely on the ratings you receive on your posts from other members, it can fluctuate wildly at first, especially if you have posted a lot of things which haven't yet been rated. Don't worry, it will settle down after a week or so.
How the 'Reputation' figure is arrived at is explained in the FAQs here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx

hi ivan88 Go send a private message to GOAskAlice as it should not drop that fast unless someone is deliberately rating you minus, called trolling and is being done deliberately.tell Alex who will answer about how your eight star dropped suddenly from eight to only four as thats too big a drop. sounds like someone ik illegally minusing you out of spite.

There are various reasons, apart from 'troll behaviour', why a reputation might fluctuate wildly within a short time, especially for those who have only just reached a user rating of 100. I have given a couple of the most likely reasons above.

When I first started, mine was very low, but i never really worried about it, as I knew that eventually it would go up and it did. I think that some people will give a negative rating just because they can, and they didn't like your responses or comments for some reason. you will find in here, that there are some that won't give positive ratings no matter what. It isn't right, but it happens. I really wouldn't worry though, as it will go up in time. mine did, and so did everyone elses. Just have fun and not worry about your reputation. Take care, and happy new year.

ivan,
There is only one way our star decreases and that is when someone in the community pushes the - button.
People should only be pushing this minus button if your posts are a negative contribution to the myLot community.
If you think it is a mistake then you s hould tell the admin Alice

well all of the users in Mylot gets to rate your comments or responses. If you respond good to the discussions people may rate you wid a '+' and if your response was not that good people may rate you with '-' sign.
as i said earlier only the + sign would make your ratings go up whereas the '-' lowers your rating.

Hi ivan88, it's unbelievable to drop dramatically of 37 points. Please contact admin to see if it's a system or computer glitch. You will be at ease to know the true reason so don't be hesitating and inform admin as soon as possible. Wish you all the best in luck.
Happy New Year
