I like pastas, but I really dont know how to make pasta sauces.
I make a sauce with groumd beef, onions, oregano tomatoes and things. But I really dont know how to make any others. Here in Mexico pastas sauces are over 3.00 per can or jar. Kinda expensive for what you get. Id love to learn to make an alfredo sauce, or a maninera sauce. Any ideas from my mylot friends....

Get yourself some tomatoes and blend them up in a blender. Add your own spices, like garlic, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper (whatever you have the taste for) and a little extra virgin olive oil and whip it all up in the blender. You can pour this sauce over some sliced zucchini or some pasta. It's really good. I made it the summer before last and it's sooooo good. Easy and home made

I like to eat twirl pasta. I buy a vegan sauce for it that is made from mushrooms. I would like to learn how to make pasta sauces. I suggest looking on the Internet for recipes. I would like the taste of a carrot sauce. I don't like the taste of tomato or tomato sauce. I eat a vegan diet. Good luck making some pasta sauces.

The usual recipes for Alfredo sauce call for a lot of fat filled ingredients so I have my own recipe. Besides, it is a lot chepear. I use white sauce made with milk and corn flour (maicena). I am usinf no lactoose milk now and don`t find it terrible. As in every sauce I make, I crush a glove of garlic and add half a Maggi cube instead of salt. When it is cooked ( minutes) and the pasta is ready, I add the cheese. I prefer reggianito instead of parmesan. All these sauces can be checked online, but I change them after I read them. I will not use lots of cream or butter in any dish. By the way, a wonderful sauce that you can make in a jiffy and freeze is pesto. It is a favorite of my grandkidas. Do you have basil (albahaca) where you live? Is it cheap?

I want to go to bed as the salads are ready and my friend won`t come to get me for 2 hours yet. But I need 10 more cents for mylot and I`d hate to get shrot because of one cent.
I am more acostumed to liters, but I`ll try. I put to boil about the amount of milf you want (you can put a quart. Then you disolve in your hand the Maggi cube. I prefer vegetable or chicken. If you don`t have it, use salt and pepper. In a cup, put 2 tablespoons of maicena. It is better if you use more. Then, with a spoon, you put some cold water and stir until in feels soft. When the milk is boiling (care take to lower the heat) stir in the maicena mixture little by little. You don`t stop stirring until it thickens but don`t put too much cornflour or you will not have a sauce. Remember that the sauce thickens more when it gets colder. You can put grated cheese there or you can mix it with the pasta and then cover with the cheese. I use a lot of cheese, but then, I`m a cheese addict.

I am not sure how to make the alfreo sauce, I love alfredo just don't know how to make it myself. When I am sick of the same pasta I always make (either alfredo or with prego) than I just add butter, garlic and grated cheese and sometimes throw in some broccoli with it for my pasta! SO yummy!

Alfredo sauce is really easy it's just cream based. Here in America though it would cost just as much to make it as to buy it in a jar, if not more. But it will probably taste better or you can get more by making it yourself. I am sure there are lots of recipes online. You could get lots of ideas that way also.

Well, my mother and my girl friend make an awesome sauce. There are many kinds of sauce to make. Like claim sauce, either red or white. Lobster sauce, Crab sauce, meat sauce, marinara sauce. As for Pasta, well I love my pasta alDente. Meaning not soft but firm, chewy. I love tomato sauce of almost any kind. My mother and my girl friend buy the crushed tomatoes in the can. They either buy Cento or Red Pack. Those jar sauces are okay, but they can never come close to the real thing.

Hi Maria,
The only sauce I know is the spagetti sauce (the very common one in here). I am not a good cook, so most probably it isn't that tasty as most people do. And it's been a long time since I've made one since usually my sister is the one who always cook here in the house.
But I love to cook and I would love to know how to make variety of sauces. I don't want to just stick with spagetti.
Looking up in the internet would help you up in making those sauce.
Have a great day!

Hi!
We just had spagetti on New Years Eve. We usually have that kind of pasta mostly on all occasion. It's also one of my favorite. But I also wanted to venture more with other recipes. It's good to explore more most especially with foods.
