Patches is getting jealous

I am saving to get Patches her own crate, yes thats right lock the cat up. Patches is jealous of Marco, Max & Gizmoe having cages. She will climb into their cage and just lie down. Marco has been chasing her out of his lately (even though he barely uses it - it's his), and then she attempts the guinea pig cage, but I am afraid she may swat them or something and hurt them. I was talking to my coworker at work, and she said what about her own crate. We have dog crates that are small enough for her, and if I just put hay on the bottom. I even let her on my bed, but will get down and try to get in the cage.

hi Ricki Patches definitely has a strong personality of her own so I guess you will have to give her her own crate just like Marco, Mac and Gizmoe.Otherwise as mymom used to say her nose will be o ut of joint. lol

That's too funny. I guess she wants her own "house" too. Do you think she'd be happy with a cardboard box?

I've tried a few boxes, she does like them but they don't last long. She had one in here, but dug the bottom of it out, but she still comes and lays in it. But she just seems to go straight for the cages.

She obviously prefers a room with a view.

I can't help but wonder if perhaps the reason that Patches wants to be inside the cages is because of the fact that she knows that she is safe when she is in a cage. You see, with your younger brother's cat always running around the house and terrorizing the animals, I'm sure that when she is in a cage she feels safe in knowing that the bully will not be able to get her. With all of that said, I don't think that there is any kind of problem at all with getting a cage for her to lay down in.

I thought of that the other night as well, it's her place, and he isn;t allowed in my room period.

Yeah, maybe if she has her own crate she will like it. Cats like high places too so they can look down.

She's one odd cat that is for sure, the other don't care for attention or anything just as long as they are fed. But she needs all the new toys, climbers, and now a cage.

They all have such distinctive personalities and Patches' personality sure stands out. It will be interesting to find out how she likes her new "house" when you get it. I, for one, will be waiting to hear about it.

Patches is very funny kitty. She deserves her own crate too. You should get it as soon as possible for her.

I find it funny how they all have their own personalities, and are so different.

She sounds like one very smart and stubborn kitty. A small dog crate lined with a nice, soft blanket sounds like a good solution for the kitty. Maybe, add a few catnip mice. Ooh... and she wouldn't mind a little television in one corner... Oh, wait... I'm thinking of my trio and their demands.
