It's just so hard to have a stiff neck!

I slept all New Years Day, I was just so tired.

A simple remedy on stiff neck is to not move much, by moving to much you are excreting more force on your body most especially in your neck area, so by moving calmly and not moving too much may somehow ease the pain. Apply pain reliever such as ointments on your neck area it helps in warming up the area that causes the pain resulting to a gradual easy neck movement. Also it is best to place a hot water bag on the neck area, once every hour it will help in lessening the pain. If such pain continues, it is best to seek immediate help to a physician.

Hi smurfy Same with me my year started with stiff neck i have pain on my left side of the neck. I really feel bad about this. I hate it. My year started with pain. Hmm anyways hope we both have a good time ahead this year. happy new year.

Ouch! Doesn't sound like a good start to 2013. But I know there is something going around lately like this and can linger for weeks. I had a nice night sleep, and been relaxing todaay online as I don't haave to work.

It seems as if you are a bit better than yesterday. Pity about your neck. have you tried an ice-pack? It could be fibrosis? My New Year started off peaceful - just how I like it! God bless you.

hi smurfysmurf its still New Years eve about 7 thirty pm so long way s to go till 2013 but I can really sympathize as I have a stiff neck too and its also on the right side of my neck. I think mine was caused by getting into a bad position in my sleep with this odd pillow. I need to get a pillow of my own I guess as I have been using the ones Gold Crest put on our beds. they just are not comfortable. Its getting better bu t am taking three Ibuprofen tablets instead of two.I do not have a cold so mine is due to muscle strain of some sort. still hurts like crazy tho ugh.Hope you get to feeling great again and can start off the New Year in a better mood without all that pain .

My New Year starts with a very good sign. Yesterday we had our December 2012 Payroll.I had managed to send some amount to my mother and so I feel very confident and satisfied.Sharing which comes from the bottom of our heart is always bring us satisfaction.I saw the faces of my co-employees happy after receiving their on time salary.Happiness is a good sign, a good start

Having a stiff neck is so unpleasant. On top of being sick it must be horrible. I hope both will pass quickly, take care of yourself.

I agree! Stiff neck is so annoying and painful. I also suffering from stiff neck because too long to work in front of computer, I usually wear a patch to relieve the pain or took pain medication. I hope you're healed soon. Happy new year and best of luck to you!

I'm really sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hate getting a stiff neck. When I do, I always end up feeling poorly somewhere else too. Invariably, it starts with pain in my shoulders then my back. Then I get a splitting headache that almost always turns into a migraine. And all because of a stiff neck. It's the worst! Hope you are feeling better very soon!
