We enjoyed each others company last night. They left at 3:30 and I then went into my kitchen to clean...plates, pots and glasses... The oily, red furnisher polish fell on the tiles... I did not clean it. Too tired. I only slept for about four hours before I started myLot again...

sorry. it usually happens after party gets over. it is better to avoid hosting new year party at home.

That's the common scenario after throwing a party.
I love to invite my friends at home for a party rather than going out for a dinner.
It is less expensive to cook at home instead of dining out.
It maybe tiring after and a lot of cleaning works to do, but still it's more fun to spend time with friends at home.

You know what? It was not really a party - just friends having a sit-down dinner. But I must admit, I do not think I will do it again. I had to run up and down all the time, and when they all left I was really tired. I had just enough strength to clean the dirty kitchen before I fell down on my bed to go sleep! Happy new Year to you and your loved ones.

Hey this is very much common after the party at every one home. Even at my place after such mess I have to clean up but while cleaning the mess I always remember the way we had enjoyed the party.

Hi! We too had some guests here and a lot of then about 5-6 families and the whole place was filled with people,my house is a kind of house that doesn't have a lot of visitors all together at the same time, but on 31st my house was flooded with people and I could hardly do something and had to spend time with them. After all these I had to make my place proper which was very hectic. But we just cant help it ans we cant stay away from then too.

thankfully, my sister-in-law and her kids always comes in the morning to help in the cooking, preparing the table and cleaning up. then we give them some of the extra food to take home.
the problem is we just heard that some relatives will drop by tomorrow, jan 2nd! good thing my other brother also bought food so we have enough to serve until tomorrow. then my niece will sleep here to help us and go home tomorrow afternoon because school resumes thursday, jan 3.

I think most probably it is good to go to sleep early and to spend less time at night. I would suggest you to have the guests sleep at your home and ask them to sleep early so that you can also go to sleep. I think this would give us extra amount of sleep that we needed.
