It amazes me that there were no much of Fireworks in our streets.

Ever since I was born every December 31 there is always fireworks that creates too much noise then to the extent that there were so much smokes that we can even smell it. Aside from that there were lots of trashes after they have done the fireworks routine which you can obviously seen it on the next day. Honestly I became used to it and expecting that every year. But not last night which is I find it miracle. The noise was not like that and it is like an ordinary time that there were no much noise. I mean what's with the people now? Have they already learn or they are just being practical for now? Of course they can have both. I just hope for the next years they will be like that and have the mental discipline in terms of fireworks.

Late Happy Birthday. We have Fireworks around here for the New Year. Especially since I live in an area where they are legal. I would think people around there would have as well, but maybe the economy is tight to where no one could afford it? But that is a great way to end your birthday and bring in the New year.

We had alittle here, not a whole lot. But we started here earlier than at midnight for some reason. I guess they wanted to fall asleep later on so they did the fireworks sooner.

Well it depends but it is not about falling asleep as early as possible but it could be about the safety as well or they are also saving budget.

same here in Mexico. As they are legally sold her all year round. Everyone has them. There are so many papers scraps form them all over my yard and the school. It was also very loud most of the night from fireworks. And my little dog doesnt like them at all. Hope you had a great new years there. Take care...

I am actually glad about what happened because of not so loud of fireworks but then it became brownout that is why we don't have electricity during media noche until 2:00 in the morning. I was totally bad trip of that.

yeah, right it's really amazing. the past years, a week before new year's eve, you would hear so much noise from fireworks outside but this year is really different though it's nice to know that lots of people are now disciplining themselves in using fireworks, i cannot deny that i miss the noise. it seems like new year is incomplete without fireworks.

There were quite a few fireworks around my home for several hours, but the practice seems to be less popular than it was some years ago. It does not bother me a great deal, but they can be a real problem for people who have pets due to the reaction that they cause.

You mean that might be as well the reason why the fireworks are now being lesson because of the pets' reaction? Well we don't have a pet that is why I have no idea for it. It is a bit deal for me like miracle when there were no much of fireworks unlike previous years to the extent that trashes are being scattered all over the streets.

I guess people in your street have learned much during the past new year's eve. Fireworks not only puts you in danger, but it also is hard on the pocket. Unfortunately, people in our street still haven't stopped lighting fireworks during new year's eve. I guess that's tradition that is really hard to break.

Fireworks can be okay but people should know the proper way of using it to avoid the harm. I respect the other's tradition but then if it can harm other people then they should also think otherwise if they must continue with that or not. There are so many ways to celebrate and can make tradition about New Year.

Here it is very hard to get fireworks like you are probably used to. Generally only firmen and things are permitted to buy them for big toen events. Little people like me can only buy the boring ones that arent dangerous. I hate fireworks so it doesnt bother me at all. I didnt hear any fireworks last night at all. Usually the only time they are done around here are around independance day. It would bug me to see the ness in the streets the next day. I would be out there cleaning it up.

there were lots of firewords on my street last night too, so much so, that I found it hard to fall asleep. I don't sleep to well anyway, so hearing the fireworks made it worse. I just wish that they wouldn't shoot them off late when people are trying to sleep. It seems that they don't really care, as they want to use them up, so they will shoot them off until they are gone. Now, it will be quiet with the fireworks until the 4th of July. Take care, and have a great New Years.

There are some people who wouldn't care if they can disturb other people when doing a fireworks thing and of course that is really annoying.

It's the same thing here in our place. I am sure people are getting practical these days. Instead of wasting their money - they prefer to buy it for other things that are useful and worthy than burning it in just minutes.
