I agree with oludipe. We should not put everything inside our brain in one sitting because the result might not be very favorable.

Oh my mistake. It must be Goludipe! I'm sorry friend for a misspelled name. Welcome to mylot! You remind me of someone that I miss that much.
Happy New Year!

I had a friend who has the same trait; she is really preoccupied with the test that she literally, burned her midnight candle staying awake for the whole night.
I don’t understand why she is so, meticulous with her studies not to mention her being a studious from the group, I think she is not confident that she get a perfect score resulting that such people would go late nights to study and review over and over again.

more likely, if i were her, i shouldn't feel that way because i know i had put all my efforts on the review. that was just too much... lol

Oh, I remember when I was in college that there were a lot of people that would always stay up all night long cramming for exams and that was something that I was never able to understand.
For me, I made it a habit to study each and every night during the semester so that I would have a firm grip on the course material and then when it was time for the exam all I would have to do would be to look over the material once or twice and I would feel like I was ready to take the exam.

Your advice is right. But with students, it's not meaning. When I was student, I can't sleep on during exam. Even I tried too much to sleep. I learned whole day and night to exam 1 hour! Learning and examination are hard!

You are talking about cramming. Well you are right, when you plan to perform great during an examination the next day. You gotta have the right amount of sleep as well as take your breakfast and review a day before the exam or even more advanced than that. This will help you retain the things you have reviewed and would also be easier for you to answer during examinations. Just my opinion though. Happy mylotting.

I hope your exam went as well as you expected, as by now you would have sat it, I wish you all the very best and hope you pass. I hate exams, always have done, I find it very hard to revise, mainly because I have too many distractions and I have poor concentration levels when it comes to reading, I can read a page and then I will forget what I have just read. I find that I do better with exams in the afternoon than the morning.

Yeah, plenty of rest and regularly studying the material is better than trying to cram all the information and only getting a few hours of sleep before the exam. I don't mean to brag, but I am very careful about making sure I know the material for an exam. Basically, I was a good student. But I would highly recommend being prepared for an exam with enough sleeping and studying because it will pay off as you progress further in life.

Generally, pulling an all-nighter does more harm than good. It's counter-productive. Says science. http://www.zmescience.com/research/studies/cramming-nights-before-test-is-bad-03123213

I actually take 8 hours of sleep a night before the exam to relax my brain. Our brain needs a lot of oxygen. The more we use it, the more our brain needs oxygen and glucose. Take a rest, that is the best before exam. It helps your body to prepare for its big battle.
