Transferring files

So I've been transferring files from the old computer to the new one by burning them to discs and then downloading to the new one. I wanted to erase the first disc I used and use it again. I mean, it's supposed to be rewritable. But it wouldn't let me. Any ideas why not?

I am not sure, I haven't used cd's and discs in ages. I use to just stick the cd in, and the program would pop up and delete it on the program and it should be able to rewrite it.

I don't generally burn discs, either. There just doesn't seem to be an option to erase when I open the disc and I can't add anything to one I know doesn't have much on it.

Maybe, Googling it. I am not sure of the program I use to use, and I only used the one. It's been years so I don;t remember exactly what to do.

Even it said rewritable I think there will be limit how much we burn the disk. Look at disk ring some color will dark.

The best solution I had was buying a USB flash drive and using that to transfer my files form one computer to another.

Well, I already had the disks and I don't have a flash drive.
