I collect costume dolls from different countries that I have traveled to. I keep those under glass in a book case. On a shelf I have a collection of miniature houses. Across the other side of the room I have a collection of colorful crystals and above that I have four globes. I have a collection of foreign coins and low value bank notes collected on my foreign travels. In a cupboard I have a three books of postcards I have bought in my home country and overseas in the different countries.

I collect, buy, and sell old vintage antique postcards from the early 1900s. Some of them are just beautiful and the artwork is fascinating. I love the old Halloween one's most of all.
I also collect just different odds and ends from the early 1900s through the 1950s. I did buy my daughter an old cookbook from the late 1800s for a Christmas present one year because she loves to cook. Nothing like letting her see how they used to do things and so much fun to read and look at.
This last Christmas I bought my SIL a travel book on Italy from 1858...he was thrilled with it and it had a very old map of Italy in it...fun reading too.
