There are 400 plus injured filipino people during fireworks 2013. DOH has good advice that the people must dance "Gangnam Style" during countdown 2013 instead of playing fireworks. This things are change. Some other countries have gather and go to the city where there are fireworks displays and doing countdown.
Can Gangnam Style played again in 2014 countdown? Will it be another dance party?

Perhaps there will be a new Dance sensation by that year...
I was surprised that there were still a lot of injuries reported during the New Year celebration. People still aren't scared and not learning their lessons.

Who regulates? and people will moan that this is another thing to 'waste' money' to. Then again, people complain about anything nowadays.

I think it will not been played all over again. For all we know, there are a lot of songs coming and booming but after a month they will disappear and people will just ignore it because they are already tired of hearing it. It is usual already to their ears and they want something more.

Dancing Gangnam style or any other dance craze instead of lighting fireworks is a good way to avoid accidents. People in our country should just resort to loud music and dancing. The government should ban fireworks and just host fireworks display to different areas in the metro. By doing this, accidents caused by fireworks will greatly be reduced next year.

We have total fireworks ban in our place cobalt. That is why i have a very peaceful new year. Hopefully, the total ban will be implemented in the whole country this coming year.
You're right we just have to dance the new year away again. Why? did you dance during the new year count down?
have a nice day!

I first heard and danced to the Gangnam Style at the Zumba dance class I attend twice a week. I think dancing to that wonderful tune and then doing a countdown to the New Year is or would be sensible and enjoyable. It is exciting and uplifting music.
I like to go to an organized firework and bonfire display on 5 November. We remember Guy Fawkes on the day. I hated hearing the fireworks going off on New Year's Eve. I think dancing Gangnam Style is much nicer and safer than having fireworks.
Gangnam Style is one of my favorite pieces of music.

The song might still be famous for another few months but I doubt that t would still the favorite song played by next New Year's countdown.
I have also thought why Filipinos in particular have been so adamant in using fireworks during such festive seasons when we can see from the news that people from other countries would celebrate it in unison while being in one place and would rather view one huge fireworks display and eliminate casualties.
