I think a person must be extremely artistic and have an incredible imagination when he wants to make a movie. A person will have to have a master-brain to plot it all together. If you want to make a romantic movie, who would play in your movie?

Yes, I think so , director should have an incredible imagination, but not every director have this talent, they make a movie as a process working, such as a machine, it is so boring. they's movie is also so boring, wasting time to watch them!

Definitely the director has to have a defined vision for his film but more often than not much of the concept art, the cinematography and even the script will come from other people who the director is consulting with. Take for example the fact that George Lucas couldn't sell the idea for Star Wars to anybody until he got Ralph McQuarrie to draw up some sketches for the design of, well just about everything in the star wars universe (aside from the stuff that only exists in the prequels). There are of course auteur filmmakers like Wes Anderson whose creative vision is always clearly their own work but even these people will have a large crew of designers, sound engineers, cinematographers etc. It is really only on the indie level that a director is directly involved in this stuff in a hands on way.

I too think that a person should have an artistic ability in order to be able to make a movie and I know that I am not the kind of person that would ever be able to make a movie.
However, one thing that I do think I could do that would be similar to writing a movie script is that I really do think that I would be able to be a novelist. The reason that I could do that and not write a movie script is because writing a novel doesn't require the same amount of detail.

Thanks a ton for sharing your discussion. Well yes u are absolutely correct, it is never an easy task to direct a movie for it requires extensive skills before it can be made into a good movie. One should have a good foresight and should be creative enough to spice up the movie for his or her audiences. I have always loved a romantic movie and would love to see Brangelina in it.
What say?

It is not easy to make a good movie, you need to choose a good actor and have a good plot to attract the audience. The most important is that you should know how to present the essence of the story. If I can make a romantic movie, i want Nicholas Tse play in it.He is so cute and handsome.
