further studies abroad

January 2, 2013 8:06am CST
Have you ever wished to further your studies in a foreign land? I think it would be very exciting for me but could be very expensive.. well only wealthy people could afford a good education in another country. Even a good education in our local areas can only be attained by rich people. How sad this is the reality we all have to face. I wish I could further my study abroad. Has anyone of you tried studying abroad? share your experience here.

I once wanted to go to France to study, but I finally gave up, because it is not only expensive but also lonely, in abroad, you must bear the loneliness and fear, you must be brave. For me, i don't want to apart from my parents.

Hi friend, some persons are very much interested in studying in abroad, but it requires a lot of money, as you mentioned studying in local area also costs a lot. I don't have this kind of abroad desire, as we know it is impossible to normal people like us.

Hello jobfindonline when I was young I found a program to work and study abroad. It was just a simply work, and simple studies. I worked as babysitter and studied advanced french at La Sorbonne. It was really simple but as echo says you have to deal with the loneliness, you have to be brave. My parents did major studies at France when they were just married. They both got each of them a scholarship to study at France for a year. That was a great oportunity for them and for their marriage. If you don`t have a scholarship, or a work, I think it would be very hard and expensive to study abroad. And if you are alone in the foreign country it`s harder. Blessings Jobfindonline... dainy

I don't have a scholarship and yes it would be very costly for me to study abroad. I'm happy to know that you studied French and your parents also studied in French. How nice to study a new language and in a foreign land. but that opportunity is only open for others who are capable and have the means. well, that is why it's called opportunity. I admire people who can study while working, it's not that easy. thanks for sharing it here. blessings too dainy!

wow that was so great prashsweet! your son is really brilliant to get that great job and be able to study abroad at his own effort. I wish I could be as brilliant as your son. Sad to say, we all have limitations and differences. What others can do, we can't do. I'm also happy for your son it's really great to hear a real life story like this. thanks

Thanks a ton for sharing your discussion. Yes u are absolutely right, it is of course expensive option to go for higher studies. Many of my friends are pursing higher studies abroad and they say that the courses are very expensive and many of them are studying abroad thanks to the scholarship provided to them. I would always stick to studying in my own country and rather moving to a different country to pursue higher studies. What say?

I am currently studying out of the country with the help of my aunt. It is a private university. I agree with you that it's unfair how only rich people can study in prestigious university. Even if there is a saying that we can achieve everything as long as we try our best. The reality is the rich people have the advantage. And even if we there are available scholarships, sometimes those who have connections are the one who can get it. I wished to pursue my studies in a better university but I think I will just dismiss the idea. I believe that it is not worth to spend too much paying a prestigious university and not to have a high paying job someday.

well you are blessed olivetree for being able to study abroad with the help of your aunt. I totally agree that rich people often have the most advantage expecially when it comes to education. they can take as many courses as they want, and study abroad. well, it is not true that only those who have studied in prestigious school could have a high paying job. sometimes it also depends in the ability and work experiences. so, I conclude that for less capable people, the best way is to study hard to get a good and high paying job.

I live in England and did my degree in Wales. It is thought to be the same country. At one time I wished to do a post graduate course in Australia. It was totally unaffordable so I gave up my interest in doing that. During my degree I spent one semester studying in the Netherlands. It was ever so exciting to take place in that overseas student program.

i studied abroad without any cost to me. i got scholarships in two occasions. i think it is not true that studying abroad is expensive or unreachable for anyone who turly desires to study abroad. there are numerous opportunities to study abroad. my last opportunity came when i just sent my application to a university in the netherlands. they sent two professors to interview me and there i got my latest scholarship.

I always wished to study in foreign land to pursue my post graduation their. But i feel studying in foreign land would be quite expensive. Education in my own country is very expensive and we can imagine how much it will be expensive in foreign land. The study in our country can only be attained by rich people, then how a middle class person can imagine studying in foreign land. Its said that study in foreign land is very beneficial for a career point of view. Lets see if i get a chance to study in foreign land.

I understand that, I sent my son from mexico to the usa to go to school 6 months ago. Was a hard choice for me to make. But the schools are so much better in the usa for him. I miss him very much, but its for the best. Take care there.

I would love to study abroad, but I have not done it. For me, studying in another country can help open someone's insight into new experiences. While it might be expensive, there are ways to pay for the high costs. It might take time and mean a lot of work, but it's possible.

Yes sad but this doesn't mean that you have to stop aiming for this. Apply for scholarship grants and pass the necessary documents and exams. These scholarships are offered to. Almost everybody. And aside fom this they give allowances that is equivalent almost as if you are already working with them. Frequently search for the net. There are a lot scholarship grants. The money should not hinder you to fulfill your dreams. You should not surrender that easy. You can do it, believe you can and you ate halfway there

It's easy to fix your wish. You can get a work permit visa first. You may find a part-time job to earn money and then you can study there as a foreign student.

I always wanted to continue my academic studies in the united states, in economics and business, and work on Wall Street, but things did not work out the way I wanted, and I stayed in my country.

I am always thinking about studying abroad. Some of my classmates went abroad to study right after the graduation of senior high school.I also want to,but my family can not afford it.It really costs a great amount of money.Studying abroad can broaden our eyes as well as win more and more independence. But it will be so homesick. However if I have enough money,I really would love to study abroad.
