But I was an avid runner several years ago, and I'm looking forward to going home and starting Day 1 on my new treadmill! My goal is to lose 20 lbs by March. I'm so excited!

I also aim to lose several pounds in a month.
Actually my aim is to lose 10 kilos, but not in a rush.
Maybe 5 kilos in a month would be fine- I don't want to have my skin sag as I lose weight- so maybe doing it in a slow process is the best.

It's definitely better to lose it slow. It stays off and your body adjusts better. After my first son, I lost 30 pounds. But lost it 2 pounds or so per week. Stayed off until my second son. Then I got busy. Then my daughter came. I got really busy. Ha! I'm 5'10", and weigh 160 pounds. My ideal weight that I was in the past was 140. I felt awesome. And fit into clothes that I never thought I would. So my goal is 20 pounds. Good luck! Have faith in yourself, and have fun with it!

Good luck! I hate running lol. I have almost 100 lbs to lose. I joined Weight Watchers and I play on doing dance DVDs. Good luck with your weight loss journey!

I used to hate running, also. But once you notice and feel the pounds coming off, you have a new appreciation for it! Ha! Have faith in yourself. I know a lot of people that lost weight on Weight Watchers. I just count my calories. I have an app on my Android that helps me keep track of everything from calories to exercise. It's a great app. It's called FitnessPal. Good luck!

That's one of the great things about exercise. We can always start over after we've been on a layoff. I don't like running on treadmills, but sometimes I wish I had one at home, so I can run on days where the weather is bad. Anyway, glad to see your passion for running. I share with you in that passion. I've been doing it regularly for almost 7 years now. It's definitely one of the best ways to lose weight. Keep us updated on your progress, and good luck to you :)
