Which discussions get more responses? I think here we get more responses on the short discussions and those discussions which are not too lengthy and have different aspects to that I mean straight to point or we can say concentrated about particular topic. I have started few long discussions which cover other aspects and relevant questions but I have not get as much responses which I expected that is why I am concluding this, I could wrong but I think most of the people would agree with me. What do you think about it and what is the key to get more responses and comments?

If you want to see/know which topics are gettin the most responses then go to the 'recent' tab and the homepage (where you will see yesterday's highest rated topic). If a topic is short then there ius liely to be less to discuss than a topic which is longer with more substance. I very much doubt that the lenghth of the topic has anything at all to do with the number of responses that a topic receives. Oh you do know that the responses on a topic earn nothing for the user who started it, right? They earn only for those who post them.

yes, I know we can see discussions which are trending in Today's top discussion section which is present on the homepage. If we are subscribe to Digest then we can easily come to know which are discussions got and getting responses in our interests. I agree, that length of discussion or topic has nothing to do with number of responses we get but as I have started lengthy discussions and did not get expected number of response and comments that is why I though that it can be depend on the length of the discussion. When we mentioned or add many aspects to the discussion then our readers may get confuse and because they cannot come with information about all the aspects they can avoid to respond or comment. For example, if I just ask what do you think about Windows 8? with two or three line description then I would get good number of responses and comments but if I ask what do you think about Windows 8 and what are the changes you would like to make in it? Have you install it in your pc? What is your experience so far? And much deeper questions and longer description then I would not get much responses and comments because people may not have information, knowledge and experience about all the aspects I included in the description. I know we earn for the whatever we type and not on responses and comment we get on our discussion and earnings is solely depend on our content quality not on length of the discussion and comment.

To get more responses and comments you need to know the members on your friend's list. Read their discussions and get to know how they feel, what makes them tick, their likes and dislikes. Then post some discussions that intertwine these things. Also watch the Digest and see what topics usually get the most comments and responses. Both of these activities will help you get more of both.

Yes, very helpful. This is why getting notifications in our email is very good. All discussions our friends post comes there. Mylot Digest is informative but usually they already have alot of responses by the time they get there. Happy Mylotting.

Yes, having friends with common interest would be helpful to get responses and comments on our discussions. Discussions which we start get reflected on our friend's homepage in "discussion started by friend" and that is why our discussion can attract our friends and if our friends are also interested in that interest then definitely he or she going to reply. so having the friends with same interest would be helpful to get more responses and comments. It would be hard to check each and every friend's discussions and which are the segment in which our friends are interested there are few things which I think everyone would be interested like Earn Online and I think discussion belongs to such interest always get good number of responses and comments. MYlot Digest also informative and give us sense of what and which type of discussions get more responses and comments and what are the things a good discussion contain.

hi gajagamini well I write moderately long discussions and my last one about being an introvert at parties got three pages of responses and one of my old ones got 135 responses so I think its more what interests us all striking on issues common to all human beings no matter where you live. When you write about your own issues likein famiy or work or health issues you find a common bond as we all have families , we all wor k, and we all have health concerns too. Also be passionate about things as that draws interest r eally. I am starting my fifth year here sa am exp erienced.

Hi, I am also quite old member of this site and I know lengthy description is not only thing to get more responses or comments to discussion started by us. There are many things like niche of the discussion, simplicity of the language, interaction with responders and commenter, number of friends we have, in which interest we start discussion these all things matter in some extent but I am saying by my experience that Discussion which is more like article or has more aspects included in it does not get more responses and comments. You can see my discussions which are good and anyone can at least comment on it two to three lines from my perspective but I haven’t been getting responses and comments that is why I think discussions which has more aspects or angles or things involve in do not get more responses. For example this discussion if I would have make it more descriptive and add aspects like what are the precaution I need to take to get more responses? And my previous experiences and more things which could make discussion lengthy. From my experience discussion with more things involve do not get more responses.

I don't think its about the length of a topic, I think its how well it relates to other people and if you can keep them interested by your discussion... I usually write topics that can relate to most people, not things directed at one certain kind of people. Things that most people are going through or have been through in the past...

I agree that length of the topic has nothing to do with the responses because I too have responded to discussion which were small in length and those one also which were lengthy. Yes, you are right it is depend on how people get connect or relate to the discussion. If we start discussion in interest in which everyone are interested then we will certainly get more responses for example Mylot because we all are part of Mylot we all are interested in discussion related to Mylot. This discussion is also included and started in Mylot interest. Thank You and Happy Mylotting.

A discussion will most likely get the most response if it interests the members. I cannot reply to a topic if I cannot relate to it. Have a nice day!

Discussion which can relate to most of the Mylotter would get more responses because people have knowledge about it and as Mylot is a forum which is open for everyone we can see most the general discussions get good number of responses than the deep questions. I think Mylotters love to answer simple questions and discuss day to day happenings with each other that is why most of the topics which comes in day to day interest like food, movies, computer, mobile, online earnings get good number of responses and comment where we cannot found it in interest like Pregnancy because it has very small segment and only girls, married people would be interested in this interest. Thank You and Happy Mylotting.

Not because of lengthy we got more response. I have seen some member here make a very long discussion but they still can get more response. I think if we make interesting topic which is familiar to other people we can get a lot of response. I like to make a discussion not very lengthy to make sure i understand with my own discussion.

Yes, I agree lengthy discussions also get good number of responses but as i have experienced whenever I start any lengthy discussion I do not get many responses but whenever I start a short description discussion I get many responses. I do not understand why it happen? I think because my English is not much good and I add many things in single discussion that can be the reason I do not get many responses to lengthy discussions.

discussions that get a lot of respnses, are ones that have an interesting topic to it, and the duscussion has substance, and is interesting enough that others want to respond to it. Whether it is long or short dosn't matter, as if it in interesting enough, it will get responses. However, one liners won't get much if anything, as they aren't discussion at all. Mylot is all about discussing, and one liners, are mostly just quesion ones, that can be answered in the guidelines, most of the time, they will be deleted. I won't respond to one line discussions, as it has nothing there to respond to. Take care,a nd have fun mylotting.

The topics that get a lot of responses are the ones that people care most about. In my experience, it's something like 'how Religion/Philosophy/(sometimes)-politics affects our everyday life.' Chiefly Islam (but maybe that's just me). I think it could be ANY topic which you make people feel like their contribution is "needed." (Making 'how things work here on myLot' another popular one)

I have been in Mylot for the last few months and I have noticed that long discussions don't draw a satisfactory number of responses.Similarly too short and one liners too are not responded by a satisfactory numer of members.I have also noticed that discussions on technical topics also end up drwing zero or just one or two responses. My conclusion is that members of Mylot like to respond to discussions that are related with our simple day to day issues. This is because they can form an opinion on such issues.Any discussion on simple topics, and in easily understandable language is likely to extract more responses here.

It really depends on the content of the discussion, if the topic is really timely and that people can relate to it, regardless if its lengthy or not, as long as it meets other’s interests then I say, it has more responses.

Its nothing to do with the length of the discussion. If you are thinking long discussions will be having less responses then you are wrong because I had seen and commented on various lengthy discussions which already have numerous responses. I think it all depends on the quality of the content. First of all the title of the topic should be catchy enough to attract the myLotters towards it. Secondly the content should be strong enough to bind the person through whole discussion, Then he or she will automatically respond to that discussion. And also you should reply to each of the response to make discussion alive.
