No one expect that coming, especially at Stamford Bridge. However shocking, I don't think this is the downfall of Chelsea. The constant changing of manager is and will be the downfall of the club. No manager are given time to adopt their philosophy. As for which is better, Benitez or Di Matteo, I think that is still early days to be any comparison. To be honest, except for the never to be repeat victory at the champions league final, Di Matteo stats is pretty awful. Had it not be the victory at the Allianz Arena, Chelsea would not even have participated in this season's edition. Give Benitez more time.

Actually Di Matteo's Chelsea stats is not bad at all:
Win 24 Draw 9 Lost 9 = Win Rate: 57.14% In 42 games
Considering the circumstances in which he had to lead and motivate a demoralized team, his winning of the UCL last season was almost a miracle. Who could forget the semi-final battles that Chelsea had with the mighty Barcelona?

Chelsea currently are playing at two levels. One level when they play outside the Stamford Bridge where they are thumping goals for fun. The other level when they play at home where they seem to be playing with the hand brake in place. They seem to be under pressure and lacking cutting edge. Let's see if they can turn it around tonight against Southampton.
Cheers!

I think the truth in football is that there is always the possibility that a team will be beaten by a less fancied team or the so called underdog. And another truth is that losing a match does not mean the end of the world has come. And it is also a fact that QPR is not without some very good players who are actually internationals although their team is the last placed team on the EPL league table currently. Di Matteo is a good coach. Benitez is also a good coach. That is the reason why they were taken in to coach a top class team like Chelsea. Good coach does not mean that he could make the team to win forever. No coach can do that, not even Sir Alex or Pep Guardiola.

any great or good team can lose any given day. i once saw the #18 seed team beat the #1 it happens in every sport, all the time. Dont worry chelsea will be back and strong again... Take care there...

I think this is a good time for chelsea to go down the earth and not under estimate other club.
