Is Cooking of act of love ?

Cooking can be a act of love a expression. I feel that many people cook for different reasons, many may cook simply because they want to earn a living,some may cook to attract family or company to bring them all together in my opinion. I think that food in many ways satisfy the soul, makes us happy, because of the sweet and delicious taste of food. I think that cooking can be a act of love in many cases, I too cook to show my appreciation for love ones on special occasion. What about you?

Hi I think that you said some sweet things about cooking for your son. I like that you cook from the heart out of love because I do as well, and I find that when I do I get tons of compliments about how good the meal was and how I really went to work on that meal. :) But keep cooking that way and you will get tons of love.!!!:)

Its easy for me, because i love to cook for him and others. I once wanted to go into the catering business here. I can cook american and mexican foods real well. Take care there.

In my country,there's a general believe that cooking for your soul mate can capture their love.Neither it tastes good nor it tastes terrible, they feel happy because you are willing to cook for them.In weekends, I always go to my grandma's house to cook dinner for her.for the first time, it was so terrible but she ate it all.She told that whatever I cook, she is pleased with it. So I think if we cook for others with pleasure and love,they can feel it when they are eating.

Yes that is so very true, I think that people can feel our love when we express it through cooking. I feel that cooking is great for expressing love if somebody cook for me I try to be appreciative because they did it for me out of love and care and that is the most important thing.

I agree with you. I like cooking and it is one of my hobbies. If my family enjoys my cooking, then it will be a great pleasure for me. I enjoy to see my loved ones like eating my dishes. I can cook it happily. A great chef needs some people who know how to appreciate the dishes.

I totally agree with you, you stated some good things about cooking, and how you enjoy it, and needing your family to appreciate what you cook, this is very true because if we cook for them and they don't appreciate the love that we put into that dish, then we might not enjoy cooking for them the next time. Thank you for your response. It is a wonderful thing to make somebody day with your food that is good to the taste. I love to enlighten a day and take a load off that person that has work a hard day and can come home and eat a wonderful meal. Food is something that makes you feel good because of the taste, it is not just only for hunger it is for satisfying as well, because if it wasn't it would be so good now would it?!!!:)
