I'm pretty proud of myself.

I used to drink pop (soda, but yes I call it pop lol) every day. Actually, it was more like 3 cans a day. I started drinking more water because of health problems and being on antibiotics and now it's mostly all I drink. I will occasionally have a ginger ale about twice a week or less. I feel a whole lot better! :)
I hope to eventually quit pop all-together soon.

Good on you yarnprty!
I used to drink some soda daily, a lot more during the summer. I actually stopped a year ago as it was making me more overweight than I expected, and drank water instead. Little do I know that now I never drink soda until some weird off chance that someone told me to drink "X" soda or if the water in the area isn't favorable for me.
(Yes, some water tastes different, and in both cases, they are considered clean. )

Thanks. :)
And yeah, sometimes water just doesn't taste good depending on where it's at. There's a small town here in Kentucky where I live called Junction City and the water there is terrible! I mean, it's fine to drink I think but it tastes so bad!
I rarely have the craving for a pop now. I used to crave it constantly.

Yeah that's what I've been doing. I haven't had the 3 cans of pop in a really long time now. It's more like maybe 2 cans of ginger ale once a week, sometimes less. I used to hate drinking water because I would always say "it has no taste and it doesn't taste good with food" but now I drink water with every meal. :)
And thanks! You too! :D

I used to drink a lot of soda too...But I hurt my wrist 4 months ago and this along with preexisting arthritis has made it impossible to open soda bottles... I drink tea now. I have always drunk at least a gallon of water a day because I am prone to kidney stones.
I do not notice a change in how I feel, but I do have to use more peroxide when I brush my teeth because the tea yellows them.

Ah, yeah I can see how that would make it hard opening up bottles. Tea is great! I have all kinds of teas in the kitchen. I have been drinking a whole lot of ginger tea lately.
I hope to be able to drink about a gallon of water or at least somewhere close to that soon! I'm thinking that it will also help clear up my face by drinking more water instead of pop. I have always had a little bit of an acne problem.

That's good to hear, yarnprty. Keep up the good work. I also use to have a habit of drinking soda and other sugary drinks with a lot of artificial coloring. But as an adult, I have learned to be more conscious of what drinks I consume also for health reasons. I also have noticed that I have been losing some weight since I lessened the amount of soda I drink.

Thanks! I'm gonna try and keep it up. Before now, I used to not even drink water at all except for in tea, I do still drink tea though but I always just add a little bit of honey instead of all the sugar. I'm not sure how healthy that is, but I gotta have my tea! :P
And congrats on the weight loss, that's great to hear. :)

I like club soda with freshly squeezed lime juice - no added sweetener nor sugar. Tastes like I am drinking soda or pop and yet, no calories, no sugar and sooo refreshing.
I was known as 'filtered water mom' vs 'kool-aid mom' I served my kids water rather than milk, soda or pop or even juice. I hardly ever served my kids kool-aid. And now, I still drink plenty of filtered water. It is the best for our bodies and our health.
