The lady I babysit for brought by a couple of gifts for my two youngest kids. It was so sweet of her. They each got a pair of new pajamas. How thoughtful. One of the Christmas traditions we had when my brother and I were growing up was to get a pair of new pajamas. These pajamas were not bought, these were hand sewn. My Mother made them for us. I loved getting those hand sewn pajamas every Christmas. I think it was very sweet of her to buy them such a thoughtful gift and to bring such sweet memories back to me. Thank you Carrie

That is very thoughtful. What a great gift and tradition you had growing up. My gds has had new pjs or night gown for Christmas in the past. They just don't get it every year. When they get a new one it is a Christmas design. When they outgrow it then their moms buy them a new one.

I think I should re-introduce this tradition to my grandkids beginning this Christmas 2013. I might even try my hand at sewing my own.

That is very thoughtful, especially considering they were hand-sewn! That must have taken a lot of time! I love these kinds of pleasant surprises. Merry Christmas to you (belated)!

Oh no, the pj's she got for my kids were bought. The fact that she got the pj's brought back memories of mine where my Mother had made my brother and me pajamas for Christmas. Thank you for your comment and Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year to you as well.

The fact that you are mentioning about these gifts here shows that you are very thoughtful. This is one way to be grateful. These days gifts are just accepted and then forgotten.

You are right, these days things like that do happen. Sometimes the best gifts are the smallest gifts. The one thing my Mother got me for Christmas last year were my slippers and I'm wearing them now. They've held up over the year and I wear them most every morning to keep my feet nice and toasty warm. Thank you for your kind comment

She is lucky to have a babysitter like you who knows how to appreciate thoughtfulness. Both of you are lucky to have met each other because it is rare nowadays to meet people who are sincere especially during the holidays.

She has been a blessing in my life. I would not have come to know her had I not put that sign up at the local grocery store. Blessings come in mysterious and thoughtful ways. Thank you for taking the time to comment on this post franne
