Thinking of buying an iPad

I was looking at a Blackberry playbook but they have bad reviews. I want something that will work everywhere, and I have a blckberry phone on the same network and it costs way too much.
I was looking online, and an iPad with 3G is $529.00, then whatever plan you want. I was thinking for now getting it for petsitting, work, and out and about.
The plans are 10MB per 30 days $5, $15.00 per 30 days $15.00, 5GB per 30 days $35.00.
With Virgin Mobile their stick, I am paying $35.00 per month for 1 gb, and it doesn't work half the time, I actually stopped paying it so they suspended my account so now I am out of that company (it's pay as you go but they started pulling rules out of their rear after the fact).
Now I have been looking for other options, and it would be easier to carrying around instead of a laptop, and the stick.

Well, I have an Acer tablet, and really like it. I only use it for WiFi when I am around places that have it. Otherwise I use it for doing other things, and really like it. It was cheaper than an Ipad, and works really well. Some people have said these are one of the best ones out there for the price. Mine was right around $300.

I've bought an a few Acer which lasted less than 6 months. They couldn't pick up majority of the internet connections around here. When it did break (still under warranty), they refused to fix it. With a regular laptop I would have to use the internet stick which costs me $35.00 for 1 gb whereas the iPad is the same for 5 GB, so in the end it would be less money.

i have a playbook and like it because of the size (and the apps) but i am sure an ipad mini would probably do just as well, it is just the cost was too high for us.
my daughter has an older ipod and there are a few cool apps that she can get on her ipod that have nothing comparable on an playbook but i still love my playbook though.

Well, iPad certainly a good choice for you, and I would definitely recommend it too. I have use iPad 2 for while, mainly at home, I seldom bring it to the street, or I will bring it to the trip. It is a good device and I have some games in it, and some ebook along with it. You can play games when you are bored, and you can read books if you feel interested. It also has WiFi function, and I certainly love to use it if that hotel provide free WiFi service. I highly recommend it.
