Meeting without a susbtance

Sometimes, I feel lazy to attend our weekly meeting becuase I feel that it has no substance at all. it is just like a meeting showing the weekly progress of the different department. There are some concern raised. Although, there are some planned to address the said concerns, the following week, the same concern is in their list again. This means that the action agreed upon was not materialized. Furthermore, some members of the team will just go to the meeting room only when they want and leave the room after they finsihed reporting the progress of their department.
I was not the only one who noticed about it but others too. I am not in the position to implement changes but I hope that our meeting procedure will completely change.

Well, if the same concern is being mentioned each and every meeting you guys conduct, this simply means that the problem is not solved yet. I suggest that somebody needs to talk to the head of the company about the issue so that it will be solved in focused manner. So as long as nobody makes a move to tell the boss, things will be the same.

I agree with you. The problems are really not solved because the concern department does not attend the meeting for the reason that they are busy with their work which I think is not a valid reason for not attending the meeting.

there is no use in that if we are meeting without any value or purpose but need to share a lot and work things out to be able to implement them

I agree with you. I am not just the one who noticd it but one of my colleagues too.
He said that the meeting was really dry because some of the concerns are not properly addressed. Furthermore, there are some issues that supposed to be tackled in separate meeting yet, they keep on taking about the issue in the said weekly meeting. Furthermore, what I hate is that they presented some concerns but they have no initial plans to resolve some issues which is supposed to be done by their department.

I really can understand.It is just like a certain routine even though there is nothing important in some week.But the decision is not ours.We have no choices but to attend on time.Do not get upset about it.Cheer up.

You are right, I have no choice but to attend the meeting just to listen and present what I got. Good thing that my reprot does not only cover the progress of our department but as part of the quality team.
