I noticed this in myself every year. It's harder for me to take down the Christmas tree and remove all my Christmas decorations than set it up. I don't know if it's because I'm excited with Christmas that's why I do not feel tired when putting decorations. But when the holidays are over, I have to take a deep breath to remove all my decorations. And it's taking me two days to remove all the Christmas decorations.

It is the excitement that urge you to put all the Christmas decorations. Its like magic. Its like your happy of what your doing so that is why you didn't feel tired and you don't complain at all. Just like work, but us, he he, its different. We have problem financially and so, even our tiny Christmas tree does not have any decorations at all. It is like we're struggling to put all the decorations because all we think about is how do we pay the water bills, electricity bills and so on until we can't put anything on a Christmas tree and so, even our house does not have any decorations during Christmas.

I find it a more difficult task, partially because I have to take each ornament off and put it into the proper box, and it never seems like a good system.
Decorating is more fun.

I really do think it's easier to put it up because at the time, it's fun! We are excited, like you mentioned, for the upcoming holidays. It's all so pretty and decorative, so it's more enjoyful.
When we're taking it down I think it's more like a chore, so the enjoyment is gone because the holidays are done.
It took me one day to get it up with all the other decor, making it look all glittery and pretty. Taking it down took me 3 days, lol! You did better than me so good for you!..

My Mum told me she took 'about 2 hours' to take all her decorations off her tree and take the tree down. Me? About an hour, mainly 'cos I was in the mood for doing it, which helps a lot.
It's not always been that way though. One year it seemed to take me absolutely ages and I cannot explain why. Perhaps I was depressed at taking it down but there again I always am as it looks so pretty sat there in the corner of the living room.
It's an exhausting business - Christmas!

Hi there!
I absolutely agree with you!! It was too easy to put it up than to put it down and disposed it! Lucky us that me and hubby was working on our tree together and made it quick and easy somehow.

I said the same thing to my Mom when I was taking down the tree this year. It's always easier putting it up than taking it down. It seems like so much work to take it down than what it does to put it up. Maybe I'm more excited about seeing all the decorations and all the ornaments so it's a lot of fun to put it up.
I had to organize all the branches to the right colors and tie them together so they will be easy to take apart and put together for next year if that's the tree my Mom chooses to use. And...it's the end of the holiday and we are all wore out
