I was watching the The Tudors and was surprised by myself when I cried twice because Thomas More died and also Queen Catherine. I'm usually not an emotional watcher and I don't know what has gotten into me why tears kept falling when these two characters died. I have watched a lot of drama movies and even series and I'm not crying in any of those. I guess these actors are so good they made my eyes weep. Have you experienced crying from a television series?

Yes, from TV series, movies, and even books. When you become so involved with a story that it makes you FEEL for those characters (happy or sad); then, you know that the writer (acters, directors, etc) have truly achieved their aim and created a true work of art.

When watching some emotional movies, sometimes I weep when it gets to the most upset part. The tears come down naturally. It is mainly because I am deeply into the mood of the movie that makes me weep. I think that it is very natural for us to week or cry from watching a movie that touches us. Thanks for the discussion and take care.

I recently watched the last episode of a show I grew up watching for the very first time recently. It was a pretty sad final episode, especially considering the target age range of the audience for it. Like many people have actually also reported, I did cry some while watching it. But then, I was already in kind of a low place at the time with having felt depressed for a while at the time. But yes, I have in the past as well.

I just cried tonight when my husband and I watched the movie Fireproof. It is a very emotional movie, lots of ups and downs. I cried like a baby! Lol. I think its good to cry over a movie at times, it lets out some emotions...

True, even if we are not so hooked to the program, or the story, but if the actors did a really great job, we can be moved, and even cry. That happened to me recently. There's this local soap opera that I seldom watch, and on the last episode which was also very dramatic, I cried and my throat hurts trying to stop myself from crying more. The actor was so good in moving his audience.

I don't know if reality tv counts for this discussion but lately, I watched an episode of 'beyond scared straight' and I usually laugh at how the inmates these at-risk kids go and see seem to scare the crap out of the kids but there was one episode in particular where these three boys who all hang out together went to a prison and ended up getting to see an inmate who turned out to be the uncle of one of the boys and the stepfather of the other..the meeting came along while the three of them were acting up the worst during the tour and it was emotional how the uncle/stepfather told them to straighten up. Everything he said to them was touching and before I knew it, I found myself crying a little..I don't normally do that..

This is quite common for me. Perhaps I am very emotional, it is easy for me to feel in the movies or TV series. And sometimes I can even be tearful and then cry badly. I remember when I watched a movie called Ted in the library, I cried there. I tried to hide it but I still needed to use the tissues to dry my tears often. Hopefully nobody would notice me.

All the time, actually. I am so emotional while watching TV, movies or reading a book, that even the tiniest good or bad event can make me cry, because I cry even when good things happen on screen. I can't specify a particular TV show or movie because there is a lot of stuff there that can make me cry. Do you remember, for example, "Thornbirds", that very old TV show? Well, when Stue got killed by a boar in the forest, I cried a river out of it. Stuff like that...

I always cry when I watched Mobbed on tv which is a Fox show. I also cry when I see Air bud the first one and Walk to remember. I always cry during that movie. There are lots of others I just can't remember them off the top of my head right now.

Hi I get emotional sometimes but never cried . I know people who are very sensitive and cry after watching the emotional scenes . One of my friend is like that tears keep falling when she watch such scenes. she will be like that while watching the whole movie. Hmm i don't understand it seriously. But the moment she leaves the movie hall she is very normal as if nothing happened.

I've cried a lot while watching movies that is drama but now, it doesn't affect me as much as it did. Unless the movie is a really good drama, I cry. When it comes to TV, I've cried multiple times. But the most I cried at was the episode of Bones from Season 8 titled "The Patriot in Purgatory". The good thing when I cry on TV series or movies is that I'm alone so no one can diss me from crying to my heart's content over what I'm watching.

First off, being a guy I'm not into the mushy stuff. However, there were movies that I've watched that got me dropping a tear or two. One such movie is Braveheart starring Mel Gibson. It was his execution scene. It was such an emotionally heavy scene that I was really into it that i had this big knot in my throat that needed to be released with a good cry---and that's exactly what I did. Good thing that I was alone when I watched it and got to keep my dignity.

Yes,I also had the same experice as yours, that is watching Forrest Gump, only this time, beside it no movie can cause me sadness. In fact, my favorite movie is action movie and horror movie, these two kinds of movie can't make somebody to cry.

I'll admit a few series have managed to make me cry. Its hard to see actors die on television. I'll need the tissues when JR Ewing is buried on Dallas, as Larry Hagman passed away not long ago. It was so hard when Jim Davis passed away also.

Yes, I often cry for the TV series and movies, I once cried for "Friends", when Chandler proposes to Monica. I was so moved by their words. At that moment,I really hoped they could be together forever. Even though it is in the story.
