as most of ya read I was in the hospital for nine day while they broke up blood clotsin my body ,put in stents in right leg. and had a time getting right pillsfor BP and heart rate. WEll that was 8 weeks ago and I have had sever pain in the foot shooting almost 24/7s WEll I had a lump on the outside above he ankle and SUregeon said poo poo dont think nothing of it. Heart Doc said it was rbroken blod vein. Well went to the CHrio yesterday and hethinks I have blood clot there so he didnt do to much to the foot but adjusted me the restof the way lololl ANy how today I was napping and phone rang I tried to walk and I couldntfoot was very much asleep and almost fell it finally woke up but feels weider than it has been SO now I am wondering if it is a clot if it has moved ad is going to make foot sleep every time I do. What do you think?

I think it could be a blood clot that moved. It does sound serious and I would suggest you call your doctor right away if not sooner. There might be a chance of the blood clot traveling up and you may be in serious troubled. I think they msy be able to remove it.

I am glad you are going to get the tests done and then they can do something to make you better. Let us know how it goes and good luck on the results.

I think if it is getting worse and your doctor isn't worried about it, maybe you need to get another opinion. It was because I went to a different doctor when I was so sick that I finally got the treatment I needed. Not saying your doctor is bad and I saw you did see someone else, but maybe yet another doctor will consider the fact that it isn't going away and is getting worse...

I hope your foot is better soon and if I don't reply back right away, it is because classes start today, so I am browsing through here one more time before I get buried under school work...

I think that I am not a doctor and not qualified to answer that question. Don't play with your health and listen to some uninformed advise, ask your doctor immediately.

Lakota I am so sorry to hear of all the health problems you have undergone. I would most definitely find another doctor who will explain what is going on with your foot. I have been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation so now I am on Coumadin (Warfarin) Therapy. It is a blood thinner for irregular hears beat and blood clots. I am really surprised with you recent history of blood clots that you are not on a similar therapy.

I think you need to find a good Hematologist who could check you out. I am not sure what kind of speciality doctors having been treating you.

Just be careful as pain in the leg could be a sign that something is not well with any of the internal organs. My late dad first complained that his leg was painful then one of his toes turned dark purplish color. We thought that it was just an ingrown toenail. We brought him to see the doctor and was given some antiseptic and painkiller for his leg. But his condition turned for the worse. We rushed him to the hospital when he collapsed. He was admitted to the hospital as the doctor detected that his kidney was not good and other organs were also found to be slowly shutting down. His bp was also uncontrollable. The told us that he was having a kind of illness called sepsis which was slowly attacking all his internal organs. He later succumb to this septic shock after a month in the hospital.

Well, this does not sound like something normal, and you would think someone would be a little more concerned, and want to run some tests. I know when I have had some of the vein things done to my leg veins when I was having extreme pain, etc. first thing they did was check for clots. As easy as it is to run the Tests maybe this is something they should consider to rule this out. Hope things are going better for you now.

Y a you would think someone would pick up on this I know not normal as when they did other leg I had none of this problem. and I am sure THat with all the complaining I have done the test should have aready bee done and the nerve and pain pill dont help to much at this point

Hi lakota, not sure what the problem could be but I think you fear of it being a clot is warranted given your recent history. I'd go to my doctor and ask him what it could be and explain that you are worried. Hope it's all OK. Hugss mate.

welll yes been pretty bad Sept 22 wnet in and they took 2 blood clots out of my inside arm. then the 8th of OCt. had a stroke couldnt talk right then Halloween went in for I couldnt walk stayed nine day while they gave shots to break up blot clots and they put stents in had three operations that stay and they also kept me 48 hours more t get meds right for BP and heart rate pills to work with my body Now thye have me on a nervepill and also pain pill and they dont work seperately. Now its been 8 weeks and the pain has never left my foot it shots pains and ripples pain across the top of foot and feels like pins and needle al the time. SO since my chiro think there is a blood clot on the outside of the foot and tol d me to get a ultra soundon it have to wait for primary to order that hope this week!

Nine days? Broken blood veins? Bad circulation will make your feet go to sleep. Do you wear that type of stocking that is supposed to help with the circulation? I would wonder about that.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well yes i can understand how it feels like staying in a hospital for days, u feel like being suffocated. i think no matter how many days u stay u should ensure that u have taken the right treatment so that the same problem does not reoccur again. It is better to consult a specialist whenever u have such issues they can better understand what is the cause of such clotting and would recommend right treatments. What say?

Thanks for your response yes I have been telling all the doctors I have been seeing after getting out of the hospital about the lump and they havent reall thought anything of it onlymyCHiro thinks it might be a clot so now I have to wait for them to order the ultra sound and possibly another catscan sighhhhhhhh but I do know something is wrong there and they and I have been covering it up with pain pills instead of looking for the cause of 8 weeks of pain
