Did you have a weird dream ever?

Everybody makes a dream after falling asleep. I am not an exception.
Last night, I had a weird dream. I dreamed myself sitting outside a rich family's house with a lot of other people whom I did not know about. Just then, a group of people who were carrying a glass coffin ran all the way to me and stopped at the gate of the rich family's house for getting some money from them. The coffin was so close to me that I had a clear look at the coffin with the dead man lying inside with a cloth covering his face. I got a little scared and stood up and managed to leave it.
What a weird dream it was to me! I had never had such a dream before. When I woke up, I was thinking about it. Then I figured out that it could be the reason that, before going to sleep, I read some so-called "real" ghost stories. Yet I am still wondering how you explain such a dream.
In our own culture, it is not a bad dream. It shows that the one who has such a dream will get promoted in his career and a rise in salary.
Do you have any explanation to this dream in your place or in your culture?

Did you see something on television that could have triggered that dream? I agree about reading real ghost stories before bed. The subconscious mind can retain so much information and without any rhyme or reason cause weird dreams. My dreams generally involve people from my childhood, people from my teens and then again people from my current life. And somehow they all knew each other and we partied together at an old neighbor's house! It's an outdoor bar-b-que and the people all mingled very well. I can't for my life figure out this dream and why they would all come together way back 30 to 40 years ago when in fact some of the people at the party I didn't even know yet. That's weird...lol

I have been reading ghost stories said to be true every night when I get to bed and I read the stories till I feel sleepy. So it could be this reason that trigged that dream. Take care, carolbee.

Hello William my friend, I never used to dream as much as I do since I take my medication, apparently one of the side affects is dreams, although some of them are quite disturbing. your dreams are supposed to be made up of what you have experienced in the past, what's on your mind right now. It is very complex trying to explain the dream you have, most of the time by the time you are awake you have forgotten most of it.

Sure, I've had plenty of weird dreams. LOL I don't think much of it though. To me, they're just dreams and don't mean anything. It's the more serious ones I'm concerned about, at least when they happen to come true anyway. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. Either way they're just a little too freaky for me. I'd rather have a weird dream any day!

I often have weird dreams when I am sleeping. Sometimes I even think that my dreams can make a film because they are just like a story. However, most of the time I can't remember the details of my dreams. Perhaps at that time I had a deep sleeping and therefore it is hardly for me to remember it.

Hello youless. Not all of my dreams can be remembered, but some fresh dreams can be remembered. When I say "fresh", I mean I wake up immediately after the dream. That is why I can remember it. If it is not in this case, I can not remember the whole detail at all, but broken part of the dream. Take care.

funny thing... I have 
never been much of a dreamer. Unless I dream and just cant remember them. I never have thought about dreams. Take care there....

Many of the dreams are forgotten when I wake up, but if the dream just happens before I wake up, I can still remember it. Take care, friend.

I have had quite a number of dreams and to some degree most of them can be considered weird. Dreams are actually a manifestation of a different reality and are supposed to be weird.
Last one I remmeber was meeting with a girl I met online in my home (she is in France) and playing the online game were we met :)

I often have strange dreams, I dream nearly every night. The longer I focus on aspects of my dream, I will often find a connection to real life. Sometimes, it is something I saw on t.v. Sometimes, it is a situation I am trying to resolve. Sometimes, it is just random stuff, I think. It could be from what you read. If it were my dream, I might think I felt there was a group of people I felt should be more responsible for another group.

I dream too and I would say that I dream very easily and I enjoyed it. Talking about weird dreams, I'm not sure if my dreams are weird, but some of them is like a kind of premonition or vision. I dreamed a few times of what's going to happen in the future. I was surprised too when what I dreamed actually happens.
Aside of that, I dreamed some people trying to kill me in my house, and a female slasher having my head chopped down every time she sees me. Oh, and I also dreamed of zombies invasion quite a lot. Maybe that's weird.
