On Couple Pictures: Ok’ay that’s way overboard don't post on FB!

Its okay to show your affection towards your present relationship, and it’s okay to put couple pictures on your social networking accounts such as FaceBook. But what I don’t understand is why some couples go overboard on their “couple photos” and thinking why the heck did they post it publicly in such site.
Have you encounter having a friend on your Facebook list who is totally a “PDA” (Public Display of Affection) type of person? PDA in a sense that they post pictures that are totally overboard and is quite unconforming, such as “intimately kissing” with their partner.
I don’t get it why others upload such pictures, is it because they just want to show some “love”? or they are just merely attention seekers.
Please share your thoughts.

I have a friend in my fb list that has over 1000 photos. Half of them are with her and her bf. However, this doesn't bother me at all. It seems a little strange for me because I am not exactly that type of person but if this makes her happy then ok. Maybe (for these people), this is a way they manifest their love, by showing it to others. Personally, I like keeping some aspects to myself but that's just me and everyone's different.
ps: I don't think they are attention seekers.

Somehow, yes it's their undoubt expression of their love for their partners however, there should censor what is too PDA and what is not.
Thanks for your response.

For me a PDA is usually when some couples posts in such social networking sites that goes over board. like torridly kissing, posting photos that they are caressing with each other. something like that is somehow not conforming.

I don't really like to share such private photos, especially to facebook where all people can see. I don't understand why some people do this but perhaps it's because they want to prove that they are in relationship or they just some kind of attention-seeker. I have a friend who like to show the affection to his girlfriend with romantic words or status, not with picture though. I kind of admire him because he can share such romantic and beautiful words for his girlfriend with all the world to see. I don't think it's bad.

Somehow, yes to prove to their friends that they are already in a relationship and everything has put in clean slate most especially their love life, but somehow they should also keep in mind putting a barrier between public and private upload.
Thanks for your response.

It is simple .. they want to show off. It is a typical "see what I found" sort of behavior. Very kiddish! I generally ignore such show off.

True, very childish act wherein they put their pictures that is way unconforming and way no censorship.
Thanks for your response.

True, it's a network to share someone's thoughts regardless if its bad or not, but somehow they should keep in mind that there are thousands of people registered on the social networking site, so any information made public such as photographs can easily be dispersed by others.
Thanks for your response.

Thanks for your response, probably by posting such contents over the social networking site, they can assure themselves that they are in tact with their relationship. but somehow, they should put barrier on what is for public and for private uploads.

Somehow true, they just want to brag that they are in a relationship not knowing that the social network has a diverse community where one information if upload in the site, can spread out to a vast number of people.
Sometimes, such people also doesn't understand responsible usage of social media in a way that they do not censor it's contents.
Thanks for your response.

I completely am stunned by this too. Maybe because I'm not in "puppy love" and I don't share these emotions with anyone right now, but even when I did, I did not want the whole world to see it on Facebook. But I am a private person. Everything that goes on Facebook gets carefully vetted. Some people are like open books though, and want to "prove" themselves in this way - perhaps it helps them feel loved for everyone to see a picture depicting that. I don't know. I try to psychoanalyze some times but it doesn't always bring me to a conclusion. . I had better keep my day job. But seriously, I don't understand PDA in public either. Especially when I'm trying to eat...It's like, GROSS! Ha ha.

True! it's a private photograph and should be addressed only by you and your partner, such public displays of affection is so rampant and so odd to see. sometimes, demeaning.
Thanks for your response.

Perhaps these people do not feel secure in their relationship, so to show the world that they are a couple so dont touch photos is why they may be doing it.
I usually laugh as some people change their boy friends every month and then you see them having to delete hundreds of old photos, makes me laugh and I am sure that I am not the only one who laughs at them either.

Probably, it could be the reason. and yes, it's quite awkward people changing from "in a relationship with ____" to another person. LOL, quite weird and funny.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, I don't have any friend who displays too much (PDA) on their Facebook account.
Well, I know my friends in Facebook and I don't add people that I do not know personally.
That's one reason my Facebook account is set to private to avoid friends request from unknown people.

I have a private FaceBook account, it's just that when someone i know in acquaintances adds me up, i don't want to be rude to ignore them so, i add them in my list. However, some are going overboard by their "expression of LOVE" for their partner that they post some pictures that are totally PDA. but then again, it's their life and we can't do nothing about it.
Thanks for your response.

That is one thing good about my group of friends and even the rest of my batch mates from High School. They are all in their right minds not to pose such pictures on any social networking sites. I think that it is okay to show your affection to your partner. But not to the extent of having it publicized through the different sites.

Glad that you have some friends that aren't hyped with social media. although i only have some friends on my facebook list that does this thing, it's quite disturbing yet we can't do nothing about it because it's their life.
Thanks for responding.
