The most perfect inner peace I've felt is when I spend time with God. There is nothing that will bring me the same genuine inner peace as that.

You are right to say that!
I too have a hard time keepign time with God when things are well, it is silly of us to conform that way but we do. God is always there, we just need to reach for Him.

Echo,
I believe in god, and have found when i was most lost and confused he helped me clear my head.
I am trying to not only use god when i only need him, which is so hard to do, because we are still like children. We cry when we need. I am trying to learn to celebrate my life even when things have gone wrong, and also share when things are going great.
I have still so much to learn.
Thank you for sharing.

I find tranquility and inner peace by doing something for others. I like to crochet and take the time to crochet for others. I crochet squares, and mail these squares to a charity which sews them into blankets. These blankets are given to children with AIDs. I have crochet hats for the homeless as well.
So, I believe in faith and works - that is what brings me peace. By doing for others brings me inner peace.

Its a great thing heliping others and it is good that it bring you inner peace to do so. It probably does for who you help too!

When I need time to regenerate my soul I just go to a quiet place in my house which is my bedroom. I lay down and pray in peace and quiet. There is nothing better then praying for peace within your soul and peace for all others. It brings a sense of calm to yourself and to your surroundings when you do this. Thankfully at the age of 56 I have found the time in my life for taking care of myself both physically and mentally. After raising two daughters and having a full time job outside the home for 32 years. It is my time for soul searching and being at peace with oneself.

I find inner peace to be with me. Think over what keeps me busy, lay some cards if I want to. To spend some quality time with me, with or without the help of some incense. My own (bed)room is the best place for me to be with me (or the house must be empty but still the living room is not the best place because of the front door etc). I don't care if other people do understand that or complain I neglect or ignore them. Since I know this is not true and I am the one always ready for others but seldom having some time for me.
