Actually I want to know how all of you operate in mylot.
Whether you first go to your mail and check who from your friend list has started discussion or who have replied to your discussion and than accordingly reply to them.
Or, you directly log on to mylot and from there you see everything. I'm actually asking this if majority of them are doing it by first method than there is a dire need for me to have a lot of friends on my list, than only I can garner a lot of responses for my discussions.

Usually I go to my mail box to check if there are any emails about the new response or comments from my friends, then I also access mylot and go to the discussion-friend started part to check if any new posts everyday. But who here can tell me why I cannot reply anything on mylot when I access it by phone.Thank you in advance.

In my case it depend from where I start visiting Mylot. But most of the time I log in to Mylot and after reading some post I comment on them. I also make the point to log in to my email and see who has commented on my comment and I try to comment back, I also see which friend of mine has started new discussion and try to read their post and leave my comment.

I used to have Mylot digest- which listed discussions started by my friends in my mail, but I was not able to check my mails regularly. So, I have stopped using that practice.

But don't your inbox is than flooded with my lot messages. Since friend list is strong, no. of interest is long, at least 20-25 messages from my lot everyday will be display on your inbox. In such a case we need to have a separate mail for my lot.

Finding who have commented on your comment is hard to find out using Mylot. And we ourself forget on which - which topics we have commented, so using your mail for that can be quite handy. Good mixing of both can give you great results on Mylot.
Happy New Year to you.

I come to the website and start posting. I have my notifications turned off, so I don't get emails on those who have sarted discussions. I turned them off, because my inbox would get filled with nothing but new discussions started, and it just got to be to much, especially when it would be from the same person, starting one discussion after another. I would just prefer to come in here and start posting, and see what discussion I am interested in responding to. Take care, and have a great day.

Hey this will be nice that you have turn off your comment Notification which will reduce the mail in your mail box. Any way after all it is your choice. And I like your views on this Thanks for sharing

I still feel coming directly to mylot site is easier rather than first checking mails. Your mail will be flooded with mylot. Home page gives all the idea - who have started new discussions from you interest, top discussions and you can see no. of responses for the discussion you started.
Happy New Year to all of you.

I do it directly from mylot it is easier and less things to think about I mean all the things I have written to are listed on email I feel like it's more cluttered.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i find operating this site via mail tedious and time taking. Till now i have always operated directly and hence that is the way how i log onto this site. i see too many notifications from this site but i ignore them as usual and concentrate on the discussions that i want to focus on.
What say?

I too, operate as you do. Mylot sends a lot of mails our ids and we cannot even see the full subject on the mail. So, I find quite easy to operate directly from this site. Happy New Year to you. Keep smiling.

I go directly to the myLot page as opposed on signing-in to my email provider. Also, i had enabled myLot as my default browser so that i can use and open it everyday.
Happy myLotting!

I too have it as my home page. It is the first thing I open. Usually on a good day I will be here a long time after I open it first thing too!

Well, I prefer coming to the Mylot website, and then sorting and searching discussions which I like and responding to them. It is a random method, but one which I like and perhaps which I would not change.

I usually check first my e-mail. Notification from mylot through e-mail shows all the activity, responses and comments from your discussion and even your friends discussions. In Mylot you cannot notice all the activity done except you check it and find it one by one on your profile.

I always go to my email to see if my response to somebody's discussion got an answer. And if i notice that there is something to comment back again, i do it.
But as to the responses to the discussions i started , i go directly to STARTED in mylot.
And to see if there are comments on pictures that i post, i take a look at the activities when i open the home page.

I do a little of both. I try to get in enough of both so that I have something to respond to the next day. This usually happens when I respond on some newer discussion so I'll have some response and then from my mail I'll respond back. I love the notifier for response for long discussions when people are talking back and forth because that is the best fun here and how we earn, by discussion!

I do mylot directly from site.. because for me it is much easier to view the topics I'm interested to respond and to see my friends discussion.. I just view my email when I want to know who respond in my respond so from it I can easily know who I will respond to..

I used both. On checking on responses i will go directly to my email to determine who is responding my discussion. However, during responding discussions from friends articles, I prefer to response at Mylot account to ensure that my response will be posted safely on that particular discussion that I have responded because sometimes, our drafted responses will be erase when times of system error. To be safe, I used Mylot when responding topics.
