Hey guys, do you like standing in a queue for long hours? For me i find it quite a tough time to stand in a queue but believe me i hardly find a place where u can avoid such conditions. Population has grown in such a way that u cannot expect deserted places anywhere.
There is a shopping mall near my house and although it is a reputed one, it has only one counter that too in the ground floor. So one has to come down to the ground floor for billing and then leave that place. Besides u can see long queues at all times since there is only a single counter. i have complained a lot of times but it has fell on deaf ears always. I remember how i was made to stand for 20 minutes in a queue and the worst part was that i had only a toothpaste and brush to buy.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you like standing in a queue for long hours? Please do share your thoughts!

Hi friend, i hate waiting in a queue for a long time, but some times we are in need to wait in the queue for a long due to various reason, we can do some other useful things like reading, playing games in the waiting time to avoid the boredom

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Yes u are absolutely right, one can engage oneself while standing in a long queue so as to avoid irritation in our mind. Besides who on earth likes to stand in a long queue but if the queues are systematically handled then i am OK with it but sometimes it also goes out of control when people from nowhere try to enter into the queue at once.

Hi Subhojit,i hate queues any time.i am impatient especially when its the type that doesnt move .the worst is in shopping malls or the bank where i expect them to put enough tellers.once i bought things and the queue was not moving and the place got stuffy i just put the basket down and walked out.i only stick to the queue when i have no other option at all.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Yes u are absolutely right, even i do not like long queues as i am impatient too and even i prefer going to less crowded places so that i can avoid rushing of people at that place. The mood of shopping gets spoiled when i see long queues or crowd. So the malls should be better equipped to handle such a crowd.

Only one counter? My goodness! Why can't they afford to buy more cash registers and pay more cashiers? Why do they make it so hard for their customers? I don't think I'd ever patronize such kind of shop at all.Standing in long queue is one thing I really hate. Never would I find it cute at all because to me time is gold. I don't want it wasted in waiting. I value every tick of the hour so standing in long queue for long time would upset me a lot.
If you would buy just a toothpaste and a brush and wait in long queue for that then if I were in you shoes I'd rather just find other shops to buy those things. Why? Are there no other shops in your place to buy those things?

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Well yes even i feel the same that time is precious and it is because of these long queues that our valuable time is wasted. It does not make any sense to have a single counter and that too in a mall. That day i had to get those two things urgently and the mall was very near to my place so i had to go to that mall otherwise i would have shopped in a different shop also.

No one likes to stand in long queue especially for a toothpaste and brush. If you are saying that mall is a reputed one than it should take care of its customers but they are simply making it more difficult them to buy with a single cash counter. I think that mall will always be having long queue problem unless they make another counter to tackle customers. And you should look for a another place for shopping now if you wanna save your precious time. I will say, for small purchase like toothbrush and toothpaste, you can go on any shop instead of malls.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Yes u are absolutely right, i should have gone to another shop to get those things. There was some unrest among the employees of that mall and due to lack of counters and hence they are having a single counter which i got to know very recently. But i think because of their issues customers are getting headache due to long queues.

i just ask you a question that how the world is like without rules ! If you are impatient with standing in aqueue ,then i guess you don't have even the persistence in finishing anything .Standing in a queue is not about wasting time ,and it's very about conduct of someone .The fact that we are living a fast-paced life contributes to such psychology as you ,which is understandable .when you are standing in a queue next time ,you can choose to compose yourself to observe about ,and you'll find something interesting and wonderful. If you have any more questions ,you can continue to respond to me .i'm happy to serve you

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Yes u are absolutely right, well i do not have any issues with the long queues unless and until they are organized and systematic in nature. It does not make any sense if there is only one counter in a mall where u are expecting many people to come. If we are talking of fast pace life then rules are applied to these malls also. I was giving a scathing attack to the type of negligence in these malls.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Well yes u are absolutely right, standing in a queue is very annoying especially for the veterans, children and pregnant ladies. They cannot stand in such queues and hence there should be a separate queues for them also. besides when i stood for long hours in that queue that day, i got a severe pain in my legs and for that reasons i had to take rest the whole day.

I recently went to see Taj Mahal and I just got afraid by seeing the long queues. I took me an hour just to see the glimpse of Taj Mahal. No body love to remaing in queue for long hours. But still queues are better than to fight for a place as in the bus stand. As soon as the bus comes, people run and fight for a place in the bus.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Yes u are absolutely right, in India u will find long queues especially if u are visiting a historical place like Taj Mahal. Besides even i feel the same that standing in queues is much better than fighting it to go ahead but provided that the queue is systematically handled otherwise it would be too annoying to stand in long queues.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Ha ha ha, I think i would then faint seeing the long queue in China. To be very honest it is very disgusting that day when i was made to stand for so many minutes and that too for two minute objects. I felt like leaving that place at place and instead get these two things from a normal shop. But since i had been to that place so i had to compromise for the time being at least.

Actually, we have nothing to do with that but follow what's on the line. We would expect to wait for the couple of minutes if only one counter is serving. Complaint can be entertain verbally by the officers but to put remedy abruptly based on your complain is quite impossible. Best move to do is you should avoid shopping on that mall and find another one who can serve the costumer conveniently. Even if how strong we push trough our complaint and yapping out with their operation, still no benefit could generate coming from them because the management itself cannot addressed immediately on what the costumer wants.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Yes u are absolutely right, i have stopped going to that mall as i had been to that place recently and i saw a long queue again. So i have almost made up my mind to stop going there. Besides it is the responsibility of these people to serve people conveniently so that we never have any complaints against them.

This is all because of this increasing population.I haven't waited in a queue for a long time but yes it can be annoying especially when you have to buy a thing or two.Maybe the number of shops selling the basic stuffs like pen, notebooks etc needs to be increased. And I don't like the mall culture because stuffs sold in the malls are very expensive and whenever I go the mall is always crowded with a million human heads. Its really irritating when you are kept waiting for half an hour or more just to buy a pen!

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Yes u are absolutely right, shops of the same kind should have their numbers increased so as to avoid queuing up of the people. I think waiting in the queue for long hours is the worst thing that has happened with me in the recent years. Besides i have no issues with the crowd but i think the numbers of counters should be increased every where.
