One of my New Year's resolutions is to shed off some extra pounds. One article that I read says that reducing carbohydrate intake will help a lot. Since last month, I already reduce my rice intake and replaced it with fruits and veggies and it seems working already. Maybe in the following weeks, I will try to go back on jogging or running to burn more calories.
How about you mylotters how do you keep attaining your target weight aside from exercise and diet? Good day!

Wow. It is nice you started to be aware of your diet already. For me it seems I can not take fruits and veggies alone that is why I eat rice or bread everyday. haha.
Keep it up!

I still take rice but in moderation now. Last year I was just doing this becuase I joined the weight loss challenge in our office but I was not that motivated and devoted. Now, I think it is better since I am not aiming for the pot money but for a good health.

Before I joined the challenge, I already loose 3 kilos because before they announced that there will be a challenge, I am already started by weight loss plan. So during the initial and final weigh in of the challenge, I loose about a kilo only.

I have to stop eating bread. It isn't so healthy. I can eat rice and lose weight. I would like to be running again, but won't be able to go running until spring when the snow is all gone. I would love to run in an indoor track or on a treadmill. I wish we had a YMCA around here. I would even like to have my own home gym.
When I want to lose weight, I eat every two hours. I eat a lot of rice, fruits and vegetables and make sure to get in at least a gallon of water a day.

That was good advice. I can eat lots but still loose weight. Like the one I read, you can eat as much as you want but you can still shed off extra pounds. I think I need to take more water now.

Hi, losing weight is also one of my new year's resolution. I went to the doctor this morning and I was surprised that I gained weight, I'm already 68 kilos so I plan to follow what the doctor told me to do, to eat less carbs and no meat diet. I'll be undergoing lab tests tomorrow.

Good that you also got a plan for weight loss. Like you, I also planned it last year but it seems that I got not that much motivation. Now, I will really try my best to stay below 75 kilos. Last year, I was 85 and at teh end of the year, I am 83. Now I am targeting of losing more than what I achieved last year.

Losing weight is a very hard task but with proper diet and determination you can achieve your goals. Like you I gain some pounds last Christmas holiday because of non stop attending parties and reunions. Now I am starting to back to my old routine where i only eat rice every morning and lunch, for dinner only fruits and soup. Also even it's very cold in the morning I try to get up to run and walk for an hour. In this steps i know i can get my target weight after a few months. I know you can make it too. Have a nice day!

I agree with you determination in attaining your goal is one way to be successful. Weight loss is really a hard task and it need motivation in order to achieve your desired weight. Hopefully I get my goal before the year ends. Like yours, I already reduced my rice intakes and at dinner, I usually take soups and no rice.

After the birth of my child i have put on some extra kilos. But on my doctor's advice i couldn't do crush dieting or rigorous exercise soon after the child birth. Now that my baby is little older , i have started following some routine of exercise and diet with the advice of my doctor. Still it has not shown any result but hope to lose those kilos soon.

Your doctor is right, don't rush in losing weight. I think I need to go back running or jogging every morning now but I can't because the weather in our area is too cold every morning. Furthermore, the weather is unpredictable. There are times it was raining in the morning.

Well,i guess i have a partner in my fight against overweight and obesity.I have stopped taking rice.I rarely take rice these days.In last 2 months, i would have taken 3 times rice in total. My fight against flab is combined with diet and exercise.I jog even if its in room connecting to ipod or mobile or perhaps while watching movies.Next, i would try to have a day only with fruits.I have also reduced my calorie intake.I am monitoring my things with help of an android application. This would help me in keeping things in check.Even if there is going to be an off day, i would try to make it my in coming days and feel its fine.I don't want to make it feel guilty and abandon the whole process and end in failure.I have reduced some weight compared to few months, but there is still a long way to go for me.I am not interested in wasting money for costly surgeries.I think with my willpower and things, i should reach my goal.Good to know how you are progressing with things.Wish you all the very best in fighting against every inch and every pound of flab in your body.Keep up the good work.

I did not stopped eating rice but I already reduced it. From almost 2 cups before, now I am only taking half or sometimes at dinner, none. I am also trying to have discipline in my eating habits. Now, when I am craving for something, before buying, I will think how much calorie it has and in the end, just ignore. Instead, eat another with less calories.
Furthermore, even I love to cook and seems that the food I made is very palatable, I tried not to have rice at all.
my goal for this year is to hit 75kg mark from 82kilos.
I know we can do it!

I have been struggling for many years, trying to lose weight. Believe me, it sure isn't easy. I would lose some weight, but then up putting it back on and more besides. I have tried dieting before, but that hasn't worked either. I am not making sure I get my fruits and veggies every day, by drinking them. I know it sounds strange, but it is actually very good and healthy. I know one thing, that it does fill me up, and that is a good thing, as I won't have the tendency to over eat or eat things I shouldn't. I do try to walk when the weather permits as well. I will do anything I can to stay healthy, and lose the excess punds I have put on.Take care, and have a great day.

Like you I am also struggling in removing extra pounds. On the first quarter of the year, I will lose some but returned back. I think I just need some motivation to keep me in track.

I am really afraid to take supplements even such tea. I would rather take the natural ways by reducing the calories I take daily.
