Lately, I have been searching for some good sites for making money online. After a lot of searches, the opinion with which I remained is that you can't really make money online. Even though there are a lot of scames, I found some good sites but they won't really pay what you expect. A good site that I found is Odesk but you have to be selected for a job and nobody really selects you without previous experience.
What is your experience with online money-making sites? Do they really work?

Well I have been in Odesk for quite a while and I did get paid by some certain working projects posted by employers. If you go on Odesk well frankly, skills and experience is your weapon if you want to work on freelancing because employers seek those who have skills on certain workloads over their projects.
If you want to get hired by some contractors over Odesk, you need to fill up every information on your Odesk profile is more likely your own visible Curriculum Vitae, the more information you post, the more likely employers will get you noticed.
Also, keep in mind to join tests and exams posted on Odesk, it’s one way that employers will determine your stats over the skills you render. The results over your Odesk test will also be made visible in your profile.
Lastly, put a good cover letter once you are interested to apply on certain job projects on the site, put a letter that is formal, and in professional tone, it is also best to attached your resume and working samples in order that employers will put a good impression on you.

I completed a lot of tests and I scored good but it was futile. I gave up on Odesk because the employers are always looking for experienced people. As for me, I have no such proof on my Odesk profile because, nobody hired me.
The luckiest people that get a job there are from 2 cases.
1. the highly intelligent tech-type: The engineers, especially the computer engineers. I saw some really good offers for them.
2. the ones that accept to do a certain job for very little money: I get the feeling that a lot of jobs are dispplayed there at a very very low price. The ones who accept these tasks are those from poorer caountries where 1 dollar really means something. It all depends I guess. For me, it is not the greatest experience. I really tried getting a job but it was useless and I don't think that I want to try again. I am sure Odesk works really well for some, but not for me.
