Django Unchained

Set in the late times of slavery in the US, a white man who makes his living hunting people down who are wanted dead or alive by the state, finds a black slave who can recognize a group of men who have high bounties on their heads. The hunter has found himself the perfect partner in Django (the "D" is silent), and Django becomes the first man who can stand up against the repressive slave owners, in this new Quentin Tarantino movie. I love Quentin's movies. He is a favorite director of mine, so I was really anticipating this new one. I was not disappointed. In fact, I'd even go as far as to say that it is so great, that it stands up with his classics like Pulp Fiction. One of the biggest pieces he has, is showing how disgusting the direction of slavery in the US was. I always knew it was terrible, but this movie made me feel so horrible about what my ancestors were pulling off with so many great people. The fact it can pull those kinds of emotions out so well, shows just how powerful this movie is. But that's not all! The action scenes are so extremely intense, they'll easily put you to the edge of your seat. The comedy is so unexpected and so out there, that you'll be laughing like crazy. The romance is so powerful that your eyes will start to tear up when you see the couple find eachother. It really hits all the levels of emotion you could get from a movie, and will really pull you in. If you're planning on going to see it though, I do give a warning. The violence in the movie is pretty extreme, and the language is, too. Up here in Canada, it shockingly got a 14a rating, but I'd say it really deserves more of an 18a or even an R. If you're faint to extreme violence or the N word, then you might want to stay away, but if you can take it, then I highly, highly, highly, recommend seeing this movie.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. I don't like to hear the "N" word but I guess I will have to deal with it. I heard when Jamie Fox was being interviewed by Oprah that Leonardo DeCaprio found it extremely hard to say the "N" word. He had to take alot of coaxing from Jamie to tell him its ok. I love westerns and history type movies so I know this one is going to be great. I also saw "Lincoln" a couple of weeks ago another great movie.

Most time they say the N word it was more funny that harsh in my opinion . I also saw that interview but they all really did a good job . I think S.Jackson used the N word the most .

Im a huge western fan so I was very exhited about this movie. It is the WORST peace of cr*p i have ever seen. We know Tarantino loves samurai movies, and it clearly shows. He also stole music from old western classics, and some sceenes looks very simular to some very known old classics. The blood, ah yes. It looks cool in a samurai movie. But when 5 l of blood explodes out of your chest ,caused by a 22 caliber,it just looks silly. Dont get me wrong tho, i love Tarantinos movies. Christopher waltz did an amazing job as usual as he did in "Inglorious b******s". He is the main reason why i watched this movie to the end. I think it comes down to this:If you are a fan of Tarantino you will love this movie, if you are a hard core western fan, you will not.

I'll probably just cover my eyes during the violent parts. It mostly sounds worthwhile, although some people feel it has gone over the top.

It was really a great movie , I was not disappointed and I wanted to watch it the first time I saw the thriller . If anyone watch western they can watch it , it was not more violent than those . I like that it had a little comedy in it and the love story .

I saw the trailer to this movie and I'm looking forward to watching it. Like you, I also like Quentin Tarantino's movies. He has a unique style in directing movies that is not forceful. His movies can be both serious and funny all at the same time. I love his Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction movies. As for the violence and language in the movie, I will probably not watch this movie with my young children. They'd probably not like watching such a movie anyways.
