She's sleeping on my bed again...

Nenya sleeping on my Bed - Her eyes are sort of half-open and half-closed in this picture. She's a year and a half old right now.

Nenya never used to display any interest in sleeping on my bed, but since I put my old multi-colored afghan on it for the winter, she seems to find it very comfortable. Usually when I'm in my room working on the computer, she'll waltz right in and plop down on the bed in her little kitty-ball. I wonder if it's the bed or the afghan that she likes...? When I've taken the afghan downstairs to the couch, she comes and curls up in it (but she's more reluctant if I'm under it, she doesn't like to snuggle. ). She also seems to like chewing on the afghan.

Have you ever known kitties to be particularly attached to certain blankets?

hi dear allyoftherain, I am thrilled to see another lovely update on Nenya which I have been waiting for for quite some time now. I cant believe she has grown that much. And I thought that nearly every cat wants to sleep in beds and love to snuggle up so I have to learn quite a bit about them before being a can opener I guess.

Nenya doesn't like to snuggle. She always wants to be in the same room as me, but usually doesn't like it when I pet her or try to put her in my lap. I can get her to stay occasionally, but she usually weasels her way out before ten minutes have gone by. I still love her to pieces.

Kit Kat pretty much only sleeps with me when it's cold. Maybe it's the weather?

I hadn't thought of that! She didn't seem too interested in sleeping in my bed last winter though.. And she was much smaller then.

I knew it was a cat you were talking about. Cats are such independent creatures, and they indulge in anything that makes them comfortable. I don't know much about cats, there are a lot of factors that made your cat want to sleep on your bed. It's probably the material of the sheets, the weather or something else.

Well this is in the "cats" interest... It might be the weather. It's been cold and rainy.
