After his move to Chelsea, Ba scored two goals against Southampton to book Chelsea's ticket to the next round of the FA Cup. At 7.5 million pounds, Ba looks like a bargain. While Benitez has said that Torres and Ba can compliment each other, the general feeling is that Ba can replace the expensive flop if he continues his scoring form.

I think Ba could be the long term replacement to Drogba. He is a physical player and does not require too many chances to hit the target. I was really impressed with the last two years the player has had at Newcastle. I think Ba could really help Chelsea out this season.
Cheers!

Ba had a truly dream start at Chelsea,it couldn't have been better.I am fully confident that he will continue to impress in the following matches and score more goals till the end the season than the total number of goals Torres scored since he joined Chelsea.Who knows, maybe his achievements will remind Torres that he was a great striker too a few years ago and we'll see a him at his best again in the following months.Anyway, unlike Torres,I'm convinced Ba will soon prove that he's worth every single penny Chelsea paid for him.

Chelsea is lucky that they could get Ba at such low price as it is the buy out clause in Ba's Newcastle contract. If Rafa is to pair Ba with Torres in attack, it will be a frightening attacking partnership that could be as good as the RVP/Rooney pairing. Chelsea may be more dangerous than Manchester City in the run in to the title as far as Manchester United is concerned.

I was suprised at his low price, especially since he is such a good player and had a vital role in newcastle. I cant see Torres and Ba working together though, only time will tell.
