I Was Thinking About trying the Box Braids?

I was thinking about trying the Janet Jacksons braids, because I seen this girl on a show with it and it looks cool, I remember when I used to rock those when I was younger. Do you think that that would be cool or it is out of style? But my I add I think it's coming back in style.!!!:)

why do people insist on calling the Jane Jackson braids when they are clearly box braids. I do not see anything wrong with getting them because they are coming back in style. I plan on getting me some also since I have stop putting relaxers in my hair which will be 2 years this April. I have seen a lot of people with those braids and I like them. Go for it.

The people that don't know what else to call them reference them to Janet Jackson in 'Poetic Justice'. If someone says that, you already have an idea of the length and size of the braid...now to answer the actual question...I do it all the time and its a timeless look..I say do it..they are easy to manage and you don't have to worry about dealing with your hair for a while..

It is very much coming back in style, as it never really left, it became sub culture, I think but it's resurgence is upon us as my school hosts some 5000+ students and of the 60+ percent that is female about two fifths of them have in some box braids
