Usually I call them every Friday, and for the other days, I call them if i have something to talk with them. I also send text messages to them enclosed some pictures. So what about you? I still live with my parents. BUT if i didnt i would probably call my mom maybe on a wednsday on her day off just to make sure during the week she was alright and most likely on a saturday. I wouldnt call everyday because than thats like checking in or living with your parents. I am planning on moving out to another city therefore the calls may be longer that if i had lived around the block or 20 minutes away.

My parents are already six feet below the ground. Kidding aside, I really appreciate you for keeping in touch with the very people who can help you when something ugly happens. Don't tire keeping the connection with the very people who love you. You are on the right track girl, keep it up.

I live next door to mom and dad, so I talk to them very often - usually at least four phone calls a day. When I am out of town for business, I usually call the first day I am gone and then every other day until I get ready to come home - then it back to the four times a day. We are close and I will miss them so much when they are gone!

It really depends on the situation. And it's gonna change, too, because I haven't been too far from them, and I still live at home with the occasional some days at my boyfriend's place. I call her every 2 or 3 days at least when I'm not at home for more than a week.

My parents have passed away but I think about them almost every day. I also think about my children. They are grown and have left home. They don't call on a regular basis but they do stay in touch. They send me photos via email or on facebook. We are close in heart, although they are all living in different places, with my oldest living abroad. I shared with my siblings about something I did which reminded me of our Dad. It seemed that he was passing on a lesson in life to me. And that is: to appreciate the abundance of God. It is good that you stay in contact with your parents. I am sure that they deeply appreciate it.

I don't call them because they call me everyday and have to go to their home thrice a week or suffer the consequences. They are old and lives alone and I know that they miss their kids that is why they're calling us everyday. So I always try to be kind to them and just go with what they want so that they can live their remaining lives happily.

I think our parents all want to see us, so it is great to visit them as much as possible.

almost everyday i called my parrents, because for someone in that age what they need is not money or material things, they only needs attentions from their children, that is what makes them happy, other things like b'day presents, money, material things are only bonus for them.Hearing you ask about their health, remind them to take care, say thanks for their love all this time is more important than anything.

We stay in different continents and I don't really call my parents. They call me every week. My cell phone service doesn't let me call long distance. So, if there's something really urgent that I need to talk to them about, I send an sms to my dad to call me. Otherwise, they call every week to ask after me and the kids. For pictures, they check my updates on FB or I mail them.

Hi echo060201, my son work in an adjacent city. He has his own apartment. He will call me once in a week. I will wait for his call on Sunday with my cellphone close to me for I don't want to miss his call. The rest of the time we mostly keep in touch by sending sms or email that is free in charge. It's quite expensive to talk on phone. The longer we chat on the phone the more will be charged It's not worthy so I ask him to call me on Sunday only Happy posting

I do more than work outside the town my parents live in. I also live away from them as they live in Florida and i live in Missouri. So i try and call them every few days like i will call 2 maybe 3 times a week on occassion more. My mom however calls me almost everyday. This is even after we chat on facebook. So i talk to my parents as often as i can. Even if i have nothing to really say i call just to say was thinking about you or how are you and sometimes we chat about nothing but the weather. It is good to just let them know you are thinking of them and to hear their voice.

I also stay away from my family. But i make sure that i call my mother everyday. I call her every evening and at least talk for 5 to 10 min. If i don't talk a day i can't sleep at night, provided i know that they are out somewhere.

I call my parents every week. I live close by them though so there would be nothing to talk about if I called more often than that. Lol.

Hi, I call them atleast ones a week, I regularly call them every Friday just to ask how's everything. I don't send them text message because I know my father will reply, even if I tell him not to because it's expensive. I always tell them to send me a message on ym or FB if they need anything, so they don't have to spend their phone credit for the text.

I am still living with my parent as of the moment so no experienced at all about it.But if ever there I am not living with them, maybe text messages everyday is the least that I can do so they won't be worry about me and knows what's happening to me in a day.

Now I am working in my hometown. So I needn't call my sisters or wife.My parents are no more. They had expired a few years back. Two years ago I was working in a city that is nearly 300 kms away from my hometown. At that time I used to phone my wife and sisters at least twice everyday.Sometimes they phoned me.I was feeling nostalgic. So I regularly called them before leaving for my office and then at night.

I am not fond of calling neither sending them a message. I do not know maybe because I am used to always alone and living independently. I think I just call my mom twice a week and my father once a month. I do not have something in my mind to tell so may be that's the reason behind.

I am sad coz my father has passed away for seven years. It is impossible for me to call him again though how I wish I could even if just one time permitted.I call my mom almost everyday, though we don't say too much each time actually. We often inquire each other's well being and talk something about work. But I feel warm and safe when I give her a call.Best wishes to your family. Have a nice day.
