One of my articles has a ton of views--and I'm worried

For the first time ever, one of my Triond articles is getting hundreds of views a day. I should be happy, right? But, in fact, I'm worried. Since this has never happened to one of my articles before, I am wondering if this means that someone is just randomly clicking on it, thinking they are doing me a favor or something. I don't want my google adsense account to be suspended (it's also connected to my blog). Also, I am afraid this article might have a virus or something.
It is in a different online magazine than most of my other articles, so maybe it is legitimately being read more than the others....I just don't know, and don't know how to find out.
Has anyone else ever encountered this, especially recently? Was it really just more readership, or was there a problem? And, if so, how did you fix it?
Thanks!

Hi friend, good to hear that your article get more than 100 page views, don't worry about this, let hope it is from a valid source. Some times some of our articles will get more page views from expected, it is due to the quality of the content and trend based on the search. Be happy and think positively

You have to have more faith in yourself and your work. And don't worry so much! Enjoy the page views

what you focus on expands. what you focus on becomes your reality. Rather that is a good thing or a bad thing that's up to you. So if something good is happening to you, then you need to focus on the good and allow it to be your reality. waiting for something to go wrong and it will

Yes, I am worried that these views--from elsewhere--are not legitimate. It's not really a matter of confidence in my writing, but more of a mistrust of cyberspace....

Sure--I usually write about travels I have taken with my kids, local and not-so-local attractions, and other parenting topics. (Which honestly don't get that many views, but this is what I enjoy writing about). This particular article is a travel-related one, but has a true "science" component to it, so maybe that's the difference?

I do try to come up with "snappy" titles, but I don't think it's that good...I guess I will just have to wait and see....

I don't think you should be worried if you're not telling people to just view it and not read it. Maybe your article is really helpful that is why it got lots of views or you hit the keywords of the day. Check if your other articles got new views, too. Because when I found a great article, I usually read his/her other articles too because I got interested in his/her work. It's hard to have a lot of views in an article so congratz!

Some of my articles have had a few more views than normal, but not like this one! I don't know if it's all that helpful, but maybe you are right about the key words...I will try to be cautiously optimistic and not worry too much. Thanks!

That is one of the concerns we will always have. Not that we want it that way but people can sabotage us this way. Of course, a lot of views done genuinely is good.

That's the trouble--how do you really know which one it is? I am hoping it is just a lot of views...LOL

I don't think you should be worried about that. In fact you should really be happy, My articles on triond only get max of 5 views a day. hahahah. You're lucky you get high amount of views on your article. well. I haven't been promoting my articles now so maybe that's why I don't get enough views. But congratulations to you.

That's what I usually get too--or even less! LOL! I didn't promote this one any differently than any of my other articles; the only difference is that it is in a science online magazine...maybe that's why?

Well, because I haven't really promoted it any differently than any of my other articles. The only difference is which magazine it was published in. But maybe I just got lucky with this one!

I wouldn't worry about the number of views that your article is getting every day, instead, I have to say that I would be quite happy to learn that I'm getting a huge number of views on one of the articles that I've written. It very well could be that this particular article is about a subject that is very popular at this time. It might not always get the number of views that you are getting right now, or it could be an article that you've been lucky enough to write that has gone viral.
Either way, I have to say big congratulations to you.

What's weird is that it has over 1,000 views now, but has only earned a couple of cents...if they were real views, wouldn't it have earned more? Even if it goes viral, shouldn't it be earning more? I just don't know....

That's my concern--that it might be a glitch of some type.

To be honest, I never saw the situation you met before. Do you mean the article was posted on mylot that had lots of responses? Because I don't know what is Triond. Anyway, don't worry about that.

Triond is an online writing site which posts articles in various online magazines.

Someone might did it for you , that is so risky for you and for him .Hope you can find ways for that not to occur again. Triond is strict , been accused from me something that i haven't done. Be careful always and follow guidelines. God bless your literary skill !

I have always followed Triond's guidelines, and did this time as well...that's why I am kind of surprised by the whole thing. Hopefully they are all legitimate views!

Wow! I hope my blog also get that number of views...but it also shakes me when I don't know who read the article.

I wish my blog got that many views, too! And none of my other articles have ever done this well....I do wish I could see with more specificity who is reading it....

Nothing to worry about that. Your published article may be one of the most popular articles published in that site. For example, when your article was published at webupon, you can see the list of popular articles at the right side of the website. Maybe your article is listed there that's why it gained many views. It happened to me too several times.

Good for you! And I am glad to hear this has happened to someone else as well...and that it was legitimate and turned out ok.
