since this year I decided to quit from smoking I keep on dreaming about smoking at least one cigarette again and again. I searched from net to helped me out to get over my cravings but until now I keep on dreaming my cravings even I refuse to think about and divert my attention to more important things. Probably, this is the time our subconscious desires works. I believe when one's dreaming some of the dreams are the things we unconsciously want to do even we try putting them away from our system. OH NO!not again. do you also dream the same thing most of the time?

Yes, probably you are right. See from the bright side,
at least your desire to smoke is fulfill by dream rather
than the actual thing. As time goes by, the subsconcious
will give up and you are free from smoking physically and
in dreams. Keep up the good habit of No Smoking and all
the best.

Oh my goodness! I miss smoking too. Smoking used to be an important thing in my life but I had to quit cause my cough gets worsened and I know it has a lot ofdeath risks. I shouldn't have taken smoking for granted. It used to be very important at one point in time cause it cleared my mind and gave my ideas about what to write about and all. And when you're at a social function and don't know anyone you can just stay on the corner and smoke and you'd have a conversational partner. In contrast when you bring out your phone at a party it means "I'm on my phone, don't disturb me" unlike when you are smoking it's denotes "I am smoking, want to smoke with me". Smoking with a friend allows the opportunity for the birth of many interesting epiphanies, maybe the stimulation is making you more alert and it makes the moment just a little bit more magical.
Sorry I couldn't help you about your dream, I've been on nicotine gums when I was recovering now I don't even like the smell of smoke, but I really miss holding smokes in my hand,

If that dream keeps repeating then it might be asking you to look into your attitude towards smoking and the deeper reason why you started smoking. Smoking is a substitute for a fixation that you didn't get over probably when you were still a child. In Freudian's psychoanalytic theory smoking is under oral fixation.

yes, the subconscious plays a big role when we dream. I read somewhere that such dreams are a way to compensate you. What you can't have in real life, you can have in a dream. At one time in my life, I kept having the same dream over and over again about some guy I met. In my dreams we were together, but in real life we couldn't because he was taken.
