The attatched photo is of my Queen Savanna and another queen from her pageant this past December when we all volunteered as bell ringers for the Salvation Army Red Kettel. Savanna loves interacting with people so much. Last year she chased people down saying, you didn't give money. This year she was yelling Merry Christmas & handing out candy canes & pencils. I also wore my crown & Sanata hat ringing the bell as well. A fun time for sure. When was the last time & thing you did as a volunteer?

Sanata hat? Is that anything like a Santa hat? The very same one you used to wear in your avatar at Christmas time?

As for volunteering, I actually quit volunteering at the policing centre early last year. (Politics.)

What a wonderful thing you did and it also helps Savanna learn about giving and what volunteering can do for others. I haven't had a chance to do any volunteering in the past few years.....I have been so busy with family things etc....its wonderful that you do though Bob!

Thanks. I am also involved in a few other things with Savanna's pageant. Collecting things to donate to various places. One is DVDs & used video games for Ronald McDonald house.

Oh my, how she has GROWN!! I remember when she was born, when she started to talk and walk and now...she's bell ringing! I think that's a wonderful way to teach her the joy of giving to others, whether it is time or money.
I don't volunteer because so much of it involves standing up or physical labor. I donate regularly, though, and the Salvation Army is the one I give the most to. They do such wonderful work and most of the money goes to the people who need it, not "administration expenses".
