It's true, apples are very good for us. If you look at an apple, it is shaped like a heart. This implies apples are good for your heart muscle. I eat an apple everyday in my oatmeal. I eat natural oatmeal, with almond milk and I cut up my own apple and put it in my oatmeal. I am sure everyone is familiar with the saying "an apple a day, keeps the doctor away."

In my case, it's not a specific fruit or vegetable everyday. It's a way of life:
Most of what I eat is based on vegetables, grains, lentils, rice, eggpland, onion, garlic and fruits as snacks. I hope you are also like this because it is a recommended diet. Now, I also eat meat and fish once in a while but, not everyday.
My favorite fruit during the last days was a banana. The bananas run out quick, we eat them a lot.

I use apples a lot for cooking, but I prefer other fruits to eat as desserts. Just now (it is Summer where I live) I just made a wonderful smoothie with all the fruits I had. I put some grapes, a peach, some apricots from my apricot tree and a banana. As it is very warm, I made it with water and ice and used fructose instead of sugar for dieting. After I started with this idea for lunch (a multifruit smoothie) I believe I will slim down after all

An apple a day drives the doctor away. And yes there are lots of health benefits an apple can give us. I like apples too, but i like starfruit better...i like the juice of it it fills me when i eat one or two. Hmmm i missed it. Hehehehe. I like grapes too. It is easy to eat just grab and pop in the mouth. And then work or do mylot while chewing. Very handy.

One of my favorite desserts is:
put in a dessert bowl -
one fresh cut up apple (whatever kind you like)
sprinkled with nuts (pecans or walnuts, etc)
and add a little cream or fat-free half/half or milk or almond milk
(whatever is your preference or what is on your diet)
It is like an Apple Crisp, but it is fresher and healthier because the apple is NOT cooked. Plus no carbs - you can still have a dessert, just without the crust.
My husband and I wanted to have a quick dessert but a healthy dessert, so instead of cooking the apple in the microwave, we thought why not, just NOT cook it. We love our healthy apple dessert. Its easy and its healthy. A win-win dessert, just perfect for apple lovers.
My daughter loves apples so much that sometimes we call her 'Apple Annie' :) Enjoy those Apples!!!
My favorite fruit are oranges, but apples are high on my list of favorite fruits.
