I had been worried about having no money left again when I get to December, even though it is a long way off, but thanks to a good friend of mine she helped me sort all my money out. It took a few hours but we got there in the end, with all my bills being put as direct debits, as well as all my money going into my bank before all the bills come out. I even sorted out a savings club as well, which is some thing my friend has always done each year, that is also direct debit and I will say I now know how much money I have left each and every month to spend on food and other things. She also showed me ways to save on shopping as well, she is a great person who will help any one if she can.

I have all money direct deposited into my bank account. I have some bills debited automatically from my account and some I send so I have control and that company doesn't have my debit information. A Christmas savings club is something I have thought of because I don't necessarily have to spend it on Christmas but for things we need in the WInter months. I rarely have cash but always use my debit card. I think some people have more of a mind for figures and ways to budget themselves where others don't. I had a mother who had a great mathematical mind and helped to figure things in my head. I am usually budgeting three months ahead.

Thanks to my friend I now know how much money I have each and every month left over and I am so much happier knowing that I will never get behind with my bills ever again and that I have Christmas all sorted already.Any money that I have left over I tend to either put some to one side, or buy something that I need shopping that is half price, that way saving a few money pounds in the long run.

It's great you have a friend like that that has managed to help you to sort your finances out. My husband resisted the direct debits route for quite some time (and even his Dad nagged him over it, especially regarding the gas and electric, as the 3 monthly bills were killing him) and he's a lot happier now.

My friend is great with money and she has shown me other ways to cut back to save a few pounds as well. I never even realised that by paying some or most of your bills by direct debit you also get a bonus savings from some of the electric and gas companys. My life is so much easier now and a lot less stressful.

Yes, I know what you mean about benefiting from paying bills via Direct Debit. I only wish my hubby had gone down this route a lot sooner than he did as he got into trouble when huge bills used to come through the door.

Happy for you for having such a good helpful friend. I think whether u r wealthy enough or not depends niether on how big ur business is nor on whether u r a millionaire's son/daughter, it depends on how u use the money in ur hands. Depositing or making an investment is really a good way I think. And as u said, learn how to save money on shopping or something like that. But by the way, don't consider money as the origin of happiness. Hope u enjoy ur life.

It is how you use your money and always looking for ways to save money. All the worry I had through all the bills and not having any money for last christmas nearly caused me a break down. Thankfully a friend came to my rescue and helped me sort all my money out and all the bills, so that I will never be able to slip behind ever again and knowing christmas will all be sorted before it gets here is the added bonus.

That is great to hear that you've been able to get your money sorted out. If there is one thing in the world that I think that most people struggle with, I have to say that it is financial matters. For our family, we've had a lot of financial struggles, but we've learned to live in a different way and I feel like in doing that we are going to be able to come out of our debt and be stronger than we've ever been.

I had gotten myself in a right state over money and could not keep up with what needed paying, what could wait, then there was a bad christmas and I ended up at my friends in tears and she offered to help me sort it all out. I am so thankful to my friend as life is a lot less stressful now and I feel that now I can sleep better at night and have not got that burden on my shoulders and now do not dread the postman showing up. I am even looking forward to Christmas knowing that I will have enough money, as well as a few extra pounds to spend on anything else I want. I even buy things when they are half price like washing powder and that also saves a few pounds in that month, it is great and I love to do food shopping now, where as I was dreading it all the time.

I'm so happy for you. I'm really glad that your friend has helped you do these things. I wish that I would have had someone help me out like that a long time ago. I think that I would be much better off financially. I never really have much money to set aside for savings but now I have come to appreciate that every little bit adds up. Thanks to a class that I took and a very hard last year. After I had one big hard time it has forced me to view a savings in a new light.
