OMG!! My daughter who loves to bake and is learning how to cook wanted to make her own pizzas. I took her to the market to get everything we needed. As we were walking around, I saw fresh berries! I thought, how about making fruit pizza too! she just loved that idea.
We got raseberries and blueberrie, as well as some marshmellow fluff. We put the fluff on whole wheat pizza do and tossed on some berries. Put that in the stove for 10 minutes... It was AMAZING!!
Have you ever made a fruit pizza? What did you use? If not, what combo do you think would work for you?

I haven't, apart from the good old average hawaii pizza. At first, I was relutant to try the hawaii with the pineapples, but I liked it, so I wouldn't be scared to try the berry pizza, even though it seems a bit bizarre for me... but that's because it's completely new and unique, I guess :D.

I have never made a fruit pizza, the only fruit I have had on pizza is pineapple, but a fruit pizza does sound very yummy and I think my children would enjoy making and more importantly eating a fruit pizza.
I think I would use bananas and strawberries and maybe kwi fruit on my pizza.
Grat idea my dear friend

Fruit as a topping for a pizza may be unorthodox, but I would have been perfectly happy to try it. The concept of pizza toppings being savoury is simply a result of convention, we have always known then to be so and thus assume that it is the right type of topping to use.
Far too many people have set ideas about what is right as a food combination and what is wrong, which is normally decided by what we are accustomed to. You cannot formulate a realistic opinion of any food without first tasting it. I have always been fond of trying something new, and since the base of a pizza is simply dough then it sounds like a very good idea to add fruit. It actually surprises me that I have not encountered this type of pizza before.

Yesterday was my daughter's birthday and at her school they celebrate each child's birthday in the classroom. The parent's are asked to bring in a homemade (and hopefully healthy) snack to share. This is her 5th year and I was struggling to come up with something new and different. Well I combed the internet and I was excited to find a recipe for........fruit pizza! I thought it sounded great and could not wait to make it. It sounded so simple and we have plenty of berries at home. Well my daughter would have nothing to do with it! She did not like th idea of the marshmallow on it. I was soooo disappointed. I am glad you got to try it and now I know it must be delicious. Maybe I can sneak and make it and convince her to try it.

I have never had a true fruit pizza. I have had a ham pizza with pineapple but that has been the extent of the fruit on my pizza. a fruit pizza does have an appealinf sound o it though. I may just have to try it sometime.

Aside from the pineapple bits on Hawaiian Style pizzas, I have never tried or tasted pizza with fruit as toppings. I do think it's a bit strange mainly because I haven't tried one. Would you say that it was like a tortilla fruit wrap or a fruit pie? That wouldn't be so bad, I guess. I think you and your daughter are very adventurous when it comes to cooking and I meant that as a compliment. ;)

The nearest I get to a fruit Pizza is a Hawaiian Pizza which consists of ham and pineapple, that is the only fruit combo that I would like on my pizza, too much fruit almost makes it like a flan dish. Pineapple is more versatile and can go with most things as a topping.

Ohhh, I would love to have a taste of that fruit pizza. You daughter came out with that great idea which I really love to try myself but sorry for me because have no raspberries or blueberries in our country. Nevertheless, we have here lots of mangoes and we do have mango pizza being sold around by pizza vendors and it really taste so good also. Maybe I will try to make my own mango pizza the next time around.

Well 34momma, i have never tasted fruit pizza and i am not sure how would that kind of pizza taste. however, if you have cooked it at your home then perhaps i should also give it a try. although the experiment may not sound good but at least one should cook something new or out of the blue just for the sake of change; that's what the nature is. let me also thank you for sharing such a nice and lovely post.
