One of my friends for Christmas gave me and my granddaughter new pot holders because we bake alot. She also gave me a box of frozen Chocolate Chip cookie dough. All you have to do is take them out and put them on a cookie sheet and bake them for 10 minutes....no fuss, no muss! I think it's a gift that will keep on giving..at least for a while! There are 3 1/2 dozen cookies in the box! Woo Hoo! Have you gotten a gift that keeps on giving to you long after the occasion? Something good to eat maybe?

I remember one Christmas my sister gave me a set off tubberware contianers. Ones I can use for storage or to cook stuff in the microwave. I use them all the time! That is my gift that keeps on giving!

Love them. I got a few from my farm recently that my mom used when I was a kid. From the late 60's early 70's. Sturdy as can be too. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

What a wonderful gift to have received. Thisnis so thoughtful and kind. I know that you will so enjoy, but no, I cannot remember receiving a gift that keeps giving but you have given me an idea for gifts for next Christmas

Yes I have gotten gifts that keep on giving over the years. Our daughters made pot holders when they were young. I still use them and they are adults now. Those frozen cookies are good. At least I know the chocolate chip cookies are so easy to make and even easier to eat! Have fun "nashing" on the cookies.

Awww, isn't that the sweetest thing! See, just these simple gifts sometimes make the biggest difference in our lives. I think that was really thoughtful of her, the way she was thinking of you and your granddaughter...sweet. No, I didn't get anything like food this year because I'm trying to diet..ugh, just not my style at all, lol!

Well, to tell you the truth, I say yes to your question. To me, for Christmas have been given the clothes I'm wearing them still. The clothes last a long time as you know, even whole years. Even if the clothing is not the stuff of consumption, I can say your own words with which you have titled your thread, then: The Gift That keeps on giving!

Well, haven't received such kind of gift. What we received were foods that are eaten immediately.

3 1/2 dozen? That's like a snack for me. My daughter gave us a great Bulova clock that has a picture frame. We put a photo of Savanna our youngest grandchild in it. Will change the photo with the seasons. It is a gift that gives to me each time I look at it. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Last year for Christmas my sister gave me a bottle of Disaronno. I don't drink much so it was a gift that kept of giving for about 6 months. This year my brother gave me a bottle of ChocoVine and it will probably keep giving for awhile as well.

That's nice she gave you that kind of stuff. I love cookie dough I used to eat it plain out of the box when I would order that stuff lol. No I don't think I've ever gotten a gift that's lasted long before, that I can think of anyways. Enjoy your cookies.
